Saltwood is quite the staycation catch…. Only a flip-flop away from Milford’s stunning shoreline (50 steps to be exact), your getaway provides the perfect welcome home after a busy day of beaching. Impromptu dips, seashell collecting, mermaid spotting, sunset strolls- it’s all on the itinerary! Your first floor setting means you’ll be able to steal seaside glimpses and, coupled with gorgeous nautical styling throughout, holiday mode will most certainly be activated upon arrival. We really love how the living, dining, and kitchen areas all flow together here, with great food and conversation at the core of its design… your award-winning foodie hosts know the recipe for a good time. The beach is quite literally your back garden at Saltwood, with a café and playpark opposite adding a cherry on top. There’s an organic flow to main space here, so you’ll find it comes easily to drift from the (well-stocked) kitchen, to the (nifty) dining area, to the into the (cheery) living room. The colour-drenched living room, with its plump sofas, are perfection for a post-feast stretch out. Light the fire, pour something soothing, and get plotting tomorrow’s plans… there are many to be made. Each of the three bedrooms here offer a contemporary, comfortable, and upbeat sanctuary and; whilst we’d be super happy with the spacious king or en-suite master, younger guests will delight at the fun, deep sea décor in the twin! Outside From your door to the shore in just a one minute walk me, who needs a garden when the beach is your backyard?! Just head to the end of your road to immerse yourself in coastal living. Here you’ll find a long shingle beach (there is sand at the water's edge during low tide), with jaw-dropping views stretching over to The Isle of Wight. As well as having miles of coastline to picnic, paddle and explore- you’ve also got a children’s play park and café right at the end of your road. There is parking for up to three cars in Saltwood’s private driveway. Please read our Home Truths section for more information. Sleeping... Family bathroom: Large shower, sink and wc. Ensuite bathroom: Shower, sink and wc. All the rest... Kitchen: Oven & Grill / Nespresso Vertuo Coffee Machine by Magimix / Induction hob / Microwave / Kettle / 6 slot toaster. Connectivity: Great WiFi connection. Pets: Dogs are welcome here - with a small charge per dog, per stay. No garden access. Parking: There is allocated parking for 2 cars. Saltwood does not currently have EV charging facilities, or access to charge your car from the mains- but the carpark across the road does offer charging facilities. Home truths Saltwood is one of two homes located in a detached building; your host’s home is on the ground floor, and Saltwood is located on the first floor. The exterior of the house does need a bit of a facelift, and although the front door here is communal (shared with Saltwood's owner's), you will have your own separate entrance once inside, with a private stairway leading you upstairs. Please keep the driveway area in front of the garage completely clear, as the owner's will be using this. Lastly, the owners kindly ask that you don’t use the washing machine after 7pm (it makes it rather noisy downstairs). Accessibility Saltwood is located up a flight of stairs, occupying the whole of the first floor in the building.
