Take it easy at this unique and tranquil getaway. A perfect retreat with sea views and a short walk to the local beach. A place to escape, relax and get back to nature. The cabin has everything you need for a relaxing time away. It’s based in a traditional rural village in Connemara. A welcome pack is provided on arrival with breakfast basics. There are basic cooking facilities available in the cabin. We have secure parking for cars and bikes. The local shop is 5-10 minutes drive, a 9 hole golf course on the wild Atlantic way is 15 minutes away. There is a quiet beach 5 minute drive or 15 minute walk from the cabin. We are next to the local community hub which offers a cafe serving coffee, tea and light meals open 7 days a week. They also have a seaweed centre (Ionad an Feamainne) offering treatments or seaweed baths. If you are interested in history, the local heritage centre is in community hub , which offers lots of local knowledge. There are a few pubs, Tigh Lee which is a 5 minute walk, which offers live music and food at weekends. (Please note this is being renovated and will hopefully be open around June 24) and others which are a 10 minute drive away. Local tourist spots like Roundstone, Clifden and Ma’am are all within an hour drive. There is a ferry to the Aran Islands 20 minutes away. Galway city is an hours drive.
