In the village of Broadwell in the heart of the Forest of Dean , Long Lane cottage, is an old miners cottage that sleeps 4. It has 2 bedrooms that can configure either singles or super king beds in either room. Wood burner with fire side snug chairs and a cozy front room snug. It has amazing forest walks and bike trails on your doorstep . Long Lane cottage is also dog friendly and allows 2 of your furry friends to stay . On entering the house , you have a snug living room to your left and dining room with wood burning fire to your right. You can access the kitchen via the dining room and the downstairs bathroom via the kitchen . There is also a utility / boot room with garden access off the kitchen with a washing machine and tumble dryer . First floor you will find 2 bedrooms each sleeping 2 guests and one with an ensuite shower room . Both bedrooms have hotel zip beds so we can configure the rooms as 2 x singles or super kings depending on your guest circumstances. Outside is a secure garden with patio area. There is parking for 1 large or 2 small cars at the rear of the property down a small shared access lane . Also plenty of free road parking outside the front of the property .

We had a brilliant stay at Long Lane Cottage, and would highly recommend it to others. Cheryl was a great host, sending through very clear instructions for check-in and the cottage was spotlessly clean throughout, with an extremely comfortable and cosy bed, making it a lovely relaxing stay which felt right at home! There are plenty of beautiful walks and trails in the surrounding Forest of Dean to explore and the nearby town of Coleford is a walkable distance with some nice little cafe's, restaurants and pubs. Many thanks, we may be back again in future!
A very comfortable and well appointed cottage - perfect for our weekend cycling in the Forest of Dean. Cheryl gave us loads of great local recommendations and was very flexible for our arrival & checkout times. Love to stay there again. Thanks Cheryl :)
very clean place, love the en-suite bedroom, vinyl CDs and living area . Also only around 20 minutes walk to coleford city centre !
Very comfortable stay with everything we needed. Slept well due to good beds and cosy bedrooms. Great communication and instructions from host. Lots to do nearby. 😊
A great couple of nights at Long Lane Barn. It’s cosy (family of 4 and a dog) but that’s part of the charm. Everything was included for a very comfortable stay.

Bikes - if you are a cycle enthusiast then you have miles and miles of the beautiful Forest you can explore with either mountain bike trials or road bikes to go further afield with great routes and fantastic hill climbs .
Bus - There is a bus stop directly outside the property that has regular bus routes to the historic town’s of Gloucester , Ross on Wye and lots of local Forest of Dean villages .
Cars - our private parking is at the rear of the property via a private lane , this will fit 2 small cars or one large car . There is also free on road parking directly outside the front of the property .
