Ich hatte wirklich drei schöne Tage hier. Die Unterkunft ist natürlich sehr bescheiden, dafür lebt die Familie nebenan und man spürt etwas vom localen Leben in Nicaragua. Die Hospedaje ist etwas abgelegen weshalb man sich alleine am Abend oder in der Nacht nicht so gut fortbewegen kann. Lizette hat mir aber einen Roller zur Unterkunft bringen lassen und ich hatte zwei super aufregende Tage hier. Leckeres Frühstück und leckeres Abendessen von der Mama! Man kann sich auch einfach mal vom Ambiente in Nicaragua treiben lassen... Ich war etwas erkältet und habe Tee bekommen und wurde lieb umsorgt. Unterkunft ist zu empfehlen, vor allem wenn man viele Ausflüge machen möchte und die Insel erkunden. Um in der Unterkunft abzuhängen gibt es vermutlich bessere Plätzchen...

Прекрасное место. Живая природа. Отличный вид на вулкан. Великолепные завтраки и ужины. Самое главное, это очень хорошие и общительные хозяева!!!!

Nice place to stay and relax. Mark is very welcoming and very helpful with a full of advices. Lovely dogs and cats. Good food from Mama Rosa. Room is good with good wifi. Share bathroom with cold water. The place is 1h by bus from the ferry station. Nearest city is 2km away but the bus stops just in front of la Penita =) You can rent bikes, motorbikes, quad, buy some cheap beers and relax in big hammocs. I recommand.

Someone needs to do this...I saw all these great reviews and went there expecting something completely different than reality. First off, the owner Mark is really nice. But, I couldn’t stay at his place. Despite how nice he was, I left an hour after I got there and lost my money. I wish there was a review like I am writing to inform me.... The place is right on the road and surrounded by other houses. There is no privacy at all. The room is a dirt floor with a hole in the wall for a window. No screen, no glass. The bed has no headboard and the wall the bed was against was covered in lines of armies of ants, right where the sheets touch the wall and right where your head and hair go. I don’t mean a couple ants, I mean study solid lines. They will be in the bed and your hair. I have camped a lot and my tent is much much cleaner. I would much rather tent. Also, if you are coming here to enjoy the bar and meet others, that ship has sailed. The bar doesn’t do well anymore due to competition. It was dead, surrounded by neighbors, and the owners dogs (which is is going to not neuter or spay :( adding to the dog misery on the island) were too omnipresent. No personal space and I sure as heck wouldn’t hang in the room. Mark, you are great but you should be managing something nicer. I only spent an hour or so there and chatted with you and got the tour and this is what I learned. It was a mistake for ME to book the place as the reviews were oddly overly positive. It’s not a 10 as the reviews state. If that’s a 10 the place I quickly found then checked in at for $40, Hotel Punta Resort, is 1,000,000.

Nous sommes restés 3 nuit chez Mark et Lizzeth et se fut très agréable.Un endroit tres typique et authentique . La cuisine de Mama étais excellente et la propreté des lieux es numéro 1. Le rendement qualité prix es au rendez vous . Le seul bémol les toilettes et douche commune à l'extérieur et un peu éloigné des services ...sinon c'était super....oooh et Mark a été un hôte des plus attentif, toujours présent et de bon conseil..Merci encore
