Experience the magic in this quaint Maine cottage located at the heart of the working fishing village of Port Clyde. Smell the sea breezes, walk 2 minutes to the bakery/ice cream shop, local galleries, harbor front cafes, and the Monhegan Island ferry. Enjoy all the amenities we offer or relax for some high quality family time. Choose from our selection of board games, shoot some hoops at the playground across the street, or experience kayaking around picturesque islands. This cottage, originally built in the 1800's, was moved from Hupper's Island to the current location in 1901. Experience the charm of living in a 19th century New England cottage, with updated amenities for convenience and comfort. Stairs to the upstairs bedrooms are steep, the shower is narrow- both features of older homes in the area. Pack and Play available.

A small cottage at a good value in the center of the quaint Village of Port Clyde. We got live lobsters as the boat unloaded across the street and also got them prepared about a block away at the Dip Net restaurant. We also boarded the ferry about a block away to spend a wonderful day on Monhegan Island . A mile walk gets you to the Marshall Point Light House made famous by Tom Hanks in Forest Gump. Only negative were the somewhat uncomfortable beds.
Great location in a lovely town.
Wendy was so kind and quick to communicate! We loved her place and the location was absolutely fantastic. Take the ferry to Monhegan Island, it’s a 4 min walk away and SO WORTH IT. The house is a few minutes walk away from the coast and kayaking and we loved staying here as a getaway from the city. Can’t recommend Wendy’s place enough.

Enjoy the best of vacationland in the heart of an authentic Maine fishing village. Most of the "neighborhood" features homes and shops that have been here for generations. Hiking trails nearby.
There is no public transportation, but none is needed once you're here! Park and walk to the harbor and village shops, ride the ferry to Monhegan Island or fish off the dock. Take a short drive to the Drift Inn Beach, or Marshall Point Lighthouse museum. Buy freshly caught lobsters from local lobstermen or great fish from Port Clyde Fresh Catch.

I am a retired public school art teacher. I love living in Maine and grew up spending long summers in Port Clyde. I have large vegetable and flower gardens, raise chickens, and enjoy hiking, biking and kayaking.
