This really is an idyllic place to stay. As you'll glean from the other reviews, the house is old, but in a good, charming way. It is creaky and homey and feels lived-in and loved. It feels extremely authentic to its location and what it is. What you're paying for, as much as the space, is the overall experience. The location is fantastic--private, woodsy, but close enough to the Port Clyde harbor to find provisions and restaurants. We loved, per other recommendations on here: walking to the lighthouse, walking down to the harbor, exploring the entire peninsula, and enjoying fresh seafood and ocean breezes. This is quintessential Maine. If, like us, you want to simulate a week of coastal relaxed living, this is the spot.

We had a great week in Port Clyde and Gwen’s place was very nice. Great view, cozy feel in the house and easy walk to the restaurants, coffee house and harbor. Gwen was super responsive when we asked for hiking ideas. We followed some of her directions and went hiking in Camden Hill State Park and had a nice walk and lunch in Camden town. Took the boat to Monhegan island. A great day trip. And can recommend the small Crepes stand on the island. And the hike up to the lighthouse out to the other coast, walk along the coastline to the ship wreck and back to town. The sea kayak in Port Clyde is another great experience. Take one of their guided tours. Thanks

We had a lovely time at the historic Teel House. The house is very old , but very charming. The surrounding woods and view of the ocean make it a cozy and comfortable place to stay. Gwen was always available within minutes when I messaged her with a question. The easy walk down to Port Clyde made it super convenient to get a lobster roll at the Dip Net and a few needed groceries at the General Store. A classic Maine adventure!

We had a great stay in the Teel house. Gwen's communication was terrific and her tips about what to do in the area were very helpful as we had never visited that part of Maine before. The house was clean and cozy and had all the amenities that we needed as a family of 4. It was just a short walk to town where there are few restaurants and the general store. We would definitely stay here again in the future.
