Such a special spot! Walkable to everything in Port Clyde. The house is adorable and so much more spacious than we expected. Very clean and well appointed. Gwen was helpful and communicative throughout the process. We would go back and would recommend.

Gwen’s cottage was the perfect place for our family gathering to celebrate and remember one of our own. Though it looks small from the outside, the inside cozy and efficient and comfortably fit our group of 9. The house was neat and beautifully decorated, without any clutter. Check in was easy and we found everything we needed for the entire weekend. We had dinner at the Black Harpoon, right around the corner and visited the Marshall Point Lighthouse and Drift Inn Beach. It was a lovely, fall weekend visit.

This was a wonderful vacation spot for our family of 5. The location was ideal for daily walks into town, to the lighthouse, and to the beach. Port Clyde is a gem of a small town. Tourism and tourists of course exist there but don't overwhelm which is very refreshing. The home was neat, tidy, and comfortable, and had everything we needed for a lovely week. In particular we took advantage of the outdoor propane steamer for a phenomenal lobster dinner picked up fresh from the docks an hour earlier. That made for a memorable treat, but the whole week will provide lifelong great family memories.

The owner was terrific in terms of communication. The house was as advertised. I particularly liked that it was within an easy ten minute walk of (a) Port Clyde, (b) a beautiful lighthouse; and (c) a sand beach. These were in three separate directions. There are also nice restaurants, including one just three or four doors down. Small quibbles: There was no soap in the showers. This could have been an oversight of the cleaning crew. But bring a bar with you. Also, the house next door sells fresh fish, which means that you can smell it sometimes and listen to the whirr of its refrigerator. But next door is a hundred yards away, so I list this as a quibble not a complaint.
