What a great find !!! We all had a wonderful time at the lodge it’s absolutely perfect for a little get away. Has everything you need !! Lovely and spacious, super clean in a great peaceful location on a lovey site. The kitchen was well equipped with tea & coffee provided and a lovely gesture of a bottle of fizz chilling for us in the fridge. Was fab to have the hot tub too and great outdoor space to chill in the evenings. We would highly recommended the lodge and definitely stay again !! 😊

Spacious airy lodge, interior well presented with 3 sofas to spread out and relax on. Main bed comfy in a large open room. Shame the on-suite shower wasn't working. But this had been offset by an early check in and small reduction in price. Hot tub made the stay even more enjoyable, however the decking was very slippery when wet. The decking looked tired and could do with some TLC. WIFI quality was poor for watching films as we had taken our Firestick, but was fine for general phone use. The lodge was well stocked throughout with everything you could need including pillows, kitchen condiments etc. The bottle of chilled prosecco in the fridge was also a welcome surprise.

Gorgeous cabin..we loved our few nights here with the kids. Warms up quick and stays heated. Had everything we needed and was spotless throughout!! Would have liked the hot tub to be hotter but kids loved it.. definitely need a car to get around. Took us about 20 via car to york centre and about 45 min to flamingo land. Would definitely recommend

Just an ok experience. The lodge is very spacious, far bigger than we expected. However, it was pretty dirty throughout (stained carpets, crumbs everywhere, dirty crockery etc). The shower in the en suite leaked constantly and was mouldy so we had to avoid using it. The mattress in the second bedroom had seen better days and was very uncomfortable. The sofa bed's metal legs were snapped on both sides so couldn't be used. The hot tub was great, but the wood in the decking was rotting around it and gave off an odor. Honestly, we still had a great holiday. Nothing was so bad we had to complain at the time, but it certainly wasn't "luxury" and we won't be coming back.
