Formerly the Sunset Haven Glampsite, we have upgraded to the Sunset Haven A-Frame Cottage! Located at the same picturesque hilltop, the Sunset Haven Cottage takes skygazing to a whole new level. Featuring clear roof panels, this cottage enables guests to get a one-of-a-kind night under the stars. This cottage is located on private land just 8 miles from the famous Buffalo National River. Two queen beds sleep 4 guests comfortably, with room for air beds if you need more! Conveniently located within driving distance of several access points to the famed Buffalo River, we offer a space where you can enjoy your day hiking or on the water and then retire to solitude and magical sunsets. Our campground is privately owned and designed with your privacy and solitude in mind. Our 4M canvas bell tent was recently upgraded to a Skygazer A-Frame! Now accommodating 4 adults easily in two queen beds, there is also room for 4 additional twin air beds if extra space is needed (guests must now bring their own). There are privacy curtains/shade screens that can be opened and closed to fit your needs We supply gas for the gas/charcoal combo grill. We also have plates/cups/utensils for eating and cooking. The outdoor showers have been changed to solar showers, which draw their heat from the sun. The toilet facility is separate from the cabin and entirely off grid and utilizes a composting system. Outdoor seating and fire pit provided. Guests will need to bring wood for campfires. Guests should be mindful that while this is a sturdy structure, this is still "glamping." There is no electricity, and you won't want to be inside the cabin on a warm day in the middle of the day anymore than you would in a tent. The evenings, however, are quite lovely! What a beautiful place! We stayed in an A-frame at the top of the hill. The verdant landscape stretched out all around. We were here for the total solar eclipse. The weather was beautiful, and that was fortunate because it was a glamping scenario. The night was cold, but inside the A-frame was enough. Under the morning Sun, the A-frame rapidly became hot. Darla and her family were friendly and welcoming. Marshall is not a huge place, but we ate at the local Daisy Queen (sic), which was very yummy. The toilet was a bucket, but I had imagined a deep hole in the ground, although it wasn't listed that way. All together, we were very happy with our stay.
This was a wonderful place to stay. very beautiful scenery as soon as you step outside. wish that it would have been cooler weather and it would have made 10 times better. all in all we would stay here again

Interesting stay with a nice view! Road to cottage was a bit bumpy/rocky, if you’re traveling by car, take it easy. The place was as pictured. But somehow I missed the fact there’s an outhouse. It was fine. Just a bit more unconventional. Definitely a more natural state! Beds slept great! However, the temp outside greatly determines the temp inside. We only stayed inside cottage from about 10pm to 7:30am. By the time the sun comes out, it’s like a greenhouse inside with those plastic tops. The fan was great for nighttime and we slept wonderfully. Even heard a coyote or two. Cows neighing in the distance. It was peaceful. Stars were amazing at night. But we couldn’t see them from inside the cottage as I hoped. That was one of the reasons we decided to book. All in all, nice stay, but price point is a bit off for what you get. More like sleeping in a campground without running water or electricity and we didn’t realize we were sharing the property with a teepee down the hill.

Life here is slower paced, and we love that. We love taking quiet strolls down the drive of an evening, or sitting and watching the moon rise. There is something so healing about sitting in nature. We love that we can run down to the river for a day to enjoy what everyone enjoys about it, but then come home to our peace and quiet at night. We are proud to bring you a space to experience our simple life. This is our little slice of life uninterrupted, and we are excited to share that with you.
