You could not find nicer, friendlier, more positive people than Hope and Chris. They are simply lovely, gracious people and outstanding hosts. The apartment is spacious and very private, with a full, modern kitchen. Hope and Chris leave you fresh eggs from their chickens and goat cheese made from their herd's milk for a fantastic breakfast. And Hope will show you how to try your hand at milking if you're game. Just head out to the barn in the morning. Right outside your door is the heart of the farm -- those sweet, wonderful goats! Joining them are chickens, a pig, and some very outgoing "barn" cats. Try to make it for a session of goat yoga with Hope (possible inspiration for the Energizer Bunny), it's a lot of fun. Oh, and then there's the creamery and shop. Shirts, books and a variety of other mementos are available as well as goat cheese, yogurt, fudge and then...the salted goat milk caramels -- stock up, they are addictive.

Not all who wander are lost. My daughter, granddaughter, grandson, and I spent the night at Sunflower Farm. It was the most heart-warming experience. From the moment we arrived to the moment we left we had access to the goats. It was liking having an all access pass to a concert. Chris introduced us to all the residents and showed us how to pick the kids and hold them properly. He told us about the 56 newcomers this year and the girls that are retired. He showed us how to enter and exit the stalls safely and our adventure began. We took turns swimming in the pool and playing with the goats. It was the night after the peak of the Perseid Meteor Showers and every star in the sky was visible. And it was so very quiet… and peaceful and gratifying to be amongst them all. The following morning Hope showed us how to milk the goats and we each tried our hand at it to varying degrees of success. It was difficult to tear ourselves away the following day. We can’t wait to return next year!

Words can’t even begin to describe how magical Hope & Chris’ beautiful farm and apartment are. Sunflower Farm has been always a must-do when we visit Maine, but since they have opened an Air Bnb we had to stay here! The apartment was comfortable and had everything we needed. The farm fresh eggs and chèvre with butter and half & half waiting in the fridge were such a generous touch. The farm is quiet and truly a sanctuary! Hope and Chris are so kind and will happily answer questions or have friendly conversation. We made friends with all 3 cats and all of the goats! The bed was very comfortable, there was also an air mattress which came handy and easily fit in the bedroom. The kitchen is a dream! We hope to come back for another stay. Hope & Chris, Thank you so much for a memorable and beautiful visit!

We were in town for a wedding and Hope & Chris’s farm was right by the venue so it was the perfect place to stay. They were very friendly and accommodating and made us feel right at home. If you love goats this is the place for you, they have many goats that are very friendly and we were lucky enough to be there while they had many babies frolicking around the farm. We also did goat yoga which is complimentary during your stay and had a nice stretch while goats play around you. They also gift you fresh yummy goat cheese and eggs to eat during your stay. The accommodation itself is comfortable and spacious, they supply you with what you need for your stay.

Just go ahead and book! The AirBnb is perfect- clean, beautiful, peaceful and the perfect place to retreat to at the end of a day exploring the area. Hope and Chris were such friendly and welcoming hosts and we felt right at home. And the goats! We were able to spend a ton of quality time with the goats, including snuggling with the new babies and giving milking a try. It's really just a magical place and experience. Can't wait to go back!
