Wow! Such a gem of a spot. David was the perfect host, always available but respectful of our privacy. The accommodation was better than described and such a wonderful place to explore the Dales from. I could not recommend this accommodation enough.

Another lovely stay at Thump Cottage💖Everything was perfect ,David’s attention to detail is really appreciated .The weather wasn’t too good but we were nice &cosy in our snug surroundings !! We will be back x

Perfect! This is not said as a disservice to other places we've stayed, but this was perhaps the first place where we didn't use anything we had brought with us - David and Janet have thought of everything, whether it's lanterns and a camping stove in case of a power cut, to fully stocked kitchen cabinets with various oil, herbs and spices. David was very helpful with instructions and guidance, especially with how best to park. The village itself was lovely, making good use of the local butchers, the chippy and pub (excellent food from all). The cottage itself was amazing, helpful handwritten notes and check in treats were particularly appreciated! A very relaxing stay, making good use of the wood burner, comfy sofa, a good book or film and a nice glass of wine. Thanks again David and Janet for making it possible and opening up your lovely cottage for us and others!

Thump cottage is the perfect spot to take in the Dales for a few days. Janet and David’s cottage had everything we needed and more. Everything was set up so well for us. The treats to welcome us were delicious and Dave did an awesome job introducing us to the parking and local area.

A truly delightful cottage with everything we could wish for and more. We echo what others have said about it being a special place. Really well situated to access the Yorkshire Dales but also Harrogate. Dave was very helpful and welcomed us on arrival. The cottage was spotlessly clean and Dave had left some thoughtful and much appreciated treats. The bedroom was very peaceful and comfortable, the shower super powerful and the wood burner made for a night in after a day if walking. maps and guide books were very helpful and kitchen had all we needed. Dave went above and beyond to help us during our stay. We would highly recommend this Airbnb and hope to be back.
