We had a really great time here! The pictures don't do this place justice. The lake views are amazing all throughout and the house and the deck and boathouse are also really good too. The house is also in a nice part of the lake that isn't crowded and is very serene and peaceful. The host was great with communication as well. We would definitely consider coming back to this place if we come back to the area sometime soon!

The lake is beautiful and the house is on a very quiet area of the lake. The house is comfortable but definitely rustic. Anyone with mobility issues might have trouble with the stairs both outside to get to the house and the lake, and inside where the stairs were quite steep. Having said that, if no issues you’ll be fine. The beds were comfortable and so was the living room and well stocked kitchen. The deck needs a power wash. It was extremely slippery when we were there after rain because of moss all over the deck. Also, the exterior of the house felt unkept. There was wood from building a fence on the path and a patio heater thrown behind the house. The boats and beach toys were just thrown all over the beach. It seemed like for the money we spent, it would have been better maintained outside. Unfortunately, the boat broke down just a few days before our trip. Especially disappointing since it was the main reason we booked the house. We didn’t feel the refund we were offered was sufficient. We were also told a few days before the trip that we needed water shoes for the lake (which we didn’t have) and spent the last few days scrambling to find them, and we ultimately did not find any. Would have been better to know that sooner.

We loved our week at Kitty and Caitlin’s house! The house was beautiful and very comfortable with thoughtful touches and details. The view from each bedroom was amazing. We loved the private beach area and had a great time making a fire, kayaking, and swimming. Kitty and Caitlin were great hosts and made sure we had everything we needed. We hope to be back again soon!

We had a wonderful family vacation at Caitlin and Kitty’s home on Skaneateles Lake! The star of the show are the lake views, boathouse, dock and beach! The boathouse was outfitted with everything we needed including life jackets, canoe, kayaks, paddle boat, children’s toys and cots for napping for the kids. We had a blast on the pontoon boat! Caitlin and Kitty’s hospitality was unmatched. The house is outfitted with comfortable sofas, tv with streaming for movie nights, reliable Wifi and super comfortable beds. For any first time visitors to this area, this is a VERY quiet and peaceful environment and probably not the best fit for people who want late night hangs outside. Just a heads up. It was well suited for us and we will most certainly be back.

Amazing home overlooking the lake. The house is equipped with everything you need for your stay plus many extra amenities. Beautiful, clean home in a picturesque setting. Pure perfection!
