Richard's place was a great gateway to a beautiful lake. We were there as it was getting cooler, but still swam in the crystal clear water. We brought the fishing poles and caught perch, small mouth bass, and rock bass right from the dock. There was a great restaurant/bar about 1000 feet down the road. Richard had a canoe, several kayaks, and paddle boards. The town of Skaneateles was about a 200 minute, what a hidden gem. Our first trip to the finger lakes, definitely not the last.

Tall Pine Lodge is an idyllic, rustic lakeside retreat. Located on the south end of the lake, the house and the lakefront are incredibly special. Just about every lakeside toy and accessory you could want is there for your enjoyment. The lake is pristine with stunning surroundings. The deck up at the house is lovely for stargazing at night and watching the sun grace the lake in the morning. There are many cozy spots to relax with a book, nap, or play a game. It was a perfect lake vacation.

We just had a wonderful vacation and stay at this home! Richard was available and responsive, before and during our stay. The home was plenty for our family of 4, with amazing outdoor spaces! From the enclosed porch, to the deck with gorgeous lake views, and the flat, private grass area by the lake! The lake area was exceptional! Skaneateles is one of the cleanest lakes, so you can swim and boat. We used the kayaks, paddle boards, and tubes that are on the property and swam off the floating dock every day. We also saw great wildlife - bald eagles, blue herons and hummingbirds to name a few. There are also amazing places to hike and see waterfalls within 20-25 minutes, Carpenter Falls and a state park. You can walk to a restaurant on the south end or drive up north to Skaneateles 25 minutes away. We had a wonderful stay!

You can’t beat the dock area provided by this Airbnb in Skaneatelas lake! Lots of space to run around in the grass. It isn’t fenced off, so keep that in mind for your doggos. But it is a quiet area where cars rarely go by. The home was cozy, and a great location. Just down the street from the Glenn Haven. The porch was beautiful, with a nice view of the lake and dock area. The porch is fenced off, so we enjoyed letting our dogs hang out there. The house is older (as many of the houses on the lake are). It was also pretty dusty, and there were ants in the kitchen. We weren’t able to utilize the basement with the ping pong and foosball table because it was too musty smelling. The house also has a really small and old TV. If you see the geese go on the grass, chase them away if you can. It is not worth letting them linger, they poop all over the grass and we spent HOURS picking it up. Rick was great and super responsive! Overall we had a great time and would go back.
