We offer four cabins at the Bend General Store near the entrance to Colorado Bend State Park. This Cabin has 1 Queen Bed. Check in is strictly by 9pm. ONLY 2 GUESTS PER CABIN. There is a shared bbq (bring or purchase charcoal from the store) & firepit area. We have a beer garden and live music on weekends. Music wraps up around 9-930pm. I love animals but I can't allow pets in the cabins. There is a shower and bathroom just for the cabins. Guests must be 21 & up. WE ALSO SERVE AWESOME FOOD. There is a very large covered area that guests can access any time. The THIS CABIN HAS ITS OWN PRIVATE BATHROOM & SHOWER. The cabins are very cool inside with reclaimed barn wood and tin. There is also a table and chairs in each cabin. The cabins are on the far end of the property and it is very quiet at night. You will see a lot of stars. There is a covered beer garden and music on many weekends. If there is music on a Friday, Saturday or Sunday evening it will usually wrap up by 930pm. You have full use of the fire pits, charcoal bbq grill and picnic tables. You will need to bring your own charcoal or you can purchase it from the store. It is a very laid back atmosphere out here. We have one friendly Labrador that lives on the property. We also serve food Wed-Sun. All linens and towels provided. There is a TV in this cabin.

Bret was a great host. The place was so much fun to hang out at after a day hiking in the state park near by. Casual atmosphere and great food right at your fingertips. Made new friends hanging out in the beer garden by the fire while listening to the band play. We will definitely be staying there next visit to the park. PS: thanks for the wine glasses Bret ;)
You get WAY MORE for your money than just a place to stay! Great folks at the General Store, the best food you EVER ate, excellent live bands (on the weekends), the friendliest dogs (Hemingway & Baxter) and chickens, plus the neighbor let us meet their pot bellied pig, Ms. Gretchen! Don't miss an opportunity of a lifetime to enjoy this experience! We'll be back for sure. HIGHLY recommend Bret's cabins.
We stayed on a weeknight and it was quiet. We need to return for the live music and bar for our next trip to Colorado Bend SP! The cabin was as described and host was very helpful! Very close to the park.
Bret is a fabulous host. From booking the place to our arrival, Bret was super helpful. The #3 cabin we stayed in had the most comfortable bed, complete with a loveseat and chair. The manager and cook (Rob) was extremely accommodating and cooks the best burger, fries and breakfast burritos! Dwayne and wait staff were superb as was the live music. By the time we left we felt like family and had so much fun we booked a return trip in May!

Since I spent a lot of time staying in Hostels I really love that AirBNB allows me to host all sorts of interesting people. I have hiked a great deal of the Appalachian trail, been a fisherman in Alaska and worked in radio. I like people and more importantly like taking care of them.
