An awesome stay! Half of our group camped in the state park and the rest of us rented out this cabin so we could just drive in and out as needed. The only thing I would recommend is trying to arrive while there’s still daylight. It can be kind of hard to find when it’s dark out! Peggy was a great host - thank you!

Best sunrise and moonrise you possibly get on a front porch! Right next to Colorado Bend State Park, the cabin feels like you’re cabin camping at the park.

This past weekend, I had the pleasure of staying at a charming cabin that truly deserves its 5/5 star rating. Nestled in a serene location, it’s the perfect spot for those looking to escape the hustle and bustle of everyday life. I experienced a bit of confusion arriving at the cabin, albeit it was dark and it would be more obvious in the daylight. Fortunately, well-placed signage eventually guided me to the right spot. One of the highlights of this cabin is its commitment to an ‘unplugged’ experience. The WiFi was out during our stay, which aligned perfectly with my group’s desire to disconnect from the digital world. The host provided a heads-up about the lack of internet which was appreciated. The cabin does boast an ancient relic - a DVD player! So, for those who might enjoy a movie night amidst the tranquility, bringing along a few favorite DVDs is a suggestion I’d like to pass on. The cabin itself was the epitome of coziness, but the showstopper was the view - stunning!

Even before purchasing the stay I knew this would be amazing because of how caring Peggy was through messaging. A group of 8 of us went and once arriving our expectations were exceeded by the beautiful view and house warming gifts (farm fresh eggs, pastries, and preservatives). The house was very clean, and stocked more than I was expecting. It was such a beautiful and peaceful place to get away and to stay to explore the neighboring state park. Not only was it beautiful during the day but at night the sky was full of stars. However, truly the best part of all was how much Peggy seemed to care about us as her guest. Her concern was that we would be able to have a restful weekend and we sure did because of all the efforts and small touches that she worked so hard on to put into our stay for us. It was great get away and all 8 of us agree we'd love to come again!
