We loved our stay at Sunrise-Lagoon! We had our private little room (directly at the ocean!) and were greeted by the nicest people. It's a nice atmosphere and we loved the dogs who followed us on our way through the island's forest and fields to the other side, where we could buy cookies at a resort's minimarket and go swimming and snorkeling (the best snorkeling we has so far!) at the beautiful blue lagoon. There is also a teahouse near the homestay which we'd have loved to try, but at the end of the day, our stay just wasn't long enough for everything which was totally fine. The only thing I'd have like is a door to the bathroom :)

I stayed at Jo And Lice -Sunrise Lagoon Homestay for 10 days and I had a wonderful experience being there. Jo And Lice and their family were so warm and friendly. Everyone was very helpful, pleasant and sweet. (Especially, little Rachel...what a special lovely girl.) Everything from the beauty of the surroundings to the friendly dogs and cute little kittens roaming around was extraordinary. I went on a few trips by boat with Jo during my stay and he was very informative and so much fun to be with. Everyone there welcomes you and treats you like they've always known you. I will miss everyone and everything there and the once in a lifetime getaway that I had at THE SUNRISE LAGOON HOMESTAY on the gorgeous island of Nanuya Lailai and all of the surrounding beautiful islands. PARADISE!!!

Probably not my kind of experience. As almost everywhere in Fiji there are some hidden fees or not very clear descriptions. Accomodation EXTREMELY basic. The food is basic but nice, very local. The community would definitely need some external help to maintain the place and keep this homestay project alive. I sincerely wish them all the best.

Jo and Lice are wonderful people, friendly. The food is excellent and plentiful. Beautiful and peaceful place. We were perfectly taken care of.
