This is our second stay. We love the layout of the apartment, the beautiful courtyard, the friendliness of the Pearl Mill residents, and the community atmosphere. The location of this apartment complex is ideal. Across the street is the miles-long, beautiful Ellerbe Creek Walking Trail. And we could walk to local restaurants, the Durham Farmers Market, and Duke University's East Campus.

Stayed here for two weeks for work downtown and it was absolutely lovely! The place itself was cozy and had everything I needed. Loved the exposed brick! The area is close to good food, the YMCA and other downtown activities. Local scooters made it easier to maneuver without a car. If I ever come back to Durham I would highly consider this place again!

This is a pleasant little flat in a historic converted mill with a beautiful central courtyard containing the large swimming pool and lots of other amenities. The flat has everything you need for a comfortable stay with full cooking equipment. It is spacious and we were really happy there. It's in a quiet stret but is only a few minutes walk to the centre of town. Helene is a wonderful host who welcomed us personally, showed us around and was quick to respond to any questions. We particularly appreciated her flexible arrival and departure times. I really hope we'll get the opportunity to stay again. Recommended!

We loved staying at Hélène’s place. The apartment was clean and well-stocked with everything we needed for our six-week stay. The location was perfect—within walking distance to local coffee shops, restaurants, Durham Farmer’s Market, and Duke University’s East Campus. The Ellerbee Creek Walking Trail is just across the street. And the Pearl Mill Flats is a friendly and welcoming environment with gardens, flowering trees, and friendly residents. Hélène met us when we arrived and oriented us to the apartment. We would definitely stay here again.
