We had an absolutely wonderful time and truly enjoyed our trip. The accommodation is lovely and neat, it matched the descriptions and photos, it is perfectly placed to allow visitors to explore and has a Co-op within easy walking distance. Jill is a wonderful host. She is clear and helpful in her communications, and we felt very welcome. Jill even added extra touches and arranged a small Christmas tree as we stayed over Christmas! It is these small, thoughtful gestures that make the stay so enjoyable. We’ve also found our favourite Scottish shortbread thanks to Jill 😉 I highly recommend on-the hill. Thank you Jill, we hope to return again soon!

We've visited Aberfoyle many times before, but stayed in it just once before, and this was the first time in Jill's beautiful house (which felt like home from the moment we stepped through the front door), and we were lucky enough to meet Jill on the evening that we checked in. She was very friendly, and we had a long chat, and incredibly Jill told us about the red squirrel hide (which we visited twice and where we saw 7 red squirrels at once, and too many small birds to count) within easy walking distance that we have never previously found despite having often passed within just a few yards of it on many visits to Queen Elizabeth Forest Park. There's nothing about the house on the hill that we didn't like, it felt like home, the decor, the lighting, the beds, the shower... just saying those things makes me want to be back there again. And... we were able to bring our three (small) doggies which was essential, and for which we are very grateful. Thank you Jill (we'll stay again)

We had a lovely stay at Jill’s cottage in Aberfoyle. The house is homely and very well equipped. We found the beds very comfy and the new bathroom (with heated floor!) was great! Jill was extremely responsive and helpful with check in and recommendations to explore. We found it a good base to explore Loch Lomond and surrounding area, and particularly enjoyed Loch Katrine. We would certainly come again.

Jills huis is een geweldige uitvalsbasis om de regio rondom Aberfoyle te verkennen. op een mooie locatie staat dit ruime huis op loopafstand van alle voorzieningen en veel wandelroutes. Het huis is erg comfortabel en heeft alles wat je nodig hebt. De badkamer is recent gerenoveerd en erg luxe en prettig.

lovely house. Loved it being upside down. living area upstairs, downstairs to bedrooms - garden. we had ages from 1-64 everyone managed no problems. nice clean space. great beds and shower. lovely private garden. well equipped kitchen and utility room if needed. easy access to beautiful walk and easy access to Glasgow & Stirling. Aberfoyle is a lovely friendly wee town will definitely be back would highly recommend Angie
