Jackie’s place is one of the favorite places I’ve ever stayed, and I’ve traveled a lot all over the world. I can’t say enough about the location, and the little town. It truly feels like you’re stepping back in time. I’m an artist and film maker, and have been working on a film and needed a space to be quiet and write, and this cottage could not have been more perfect. It is so, so quiet, I slept so well while I was there. Just so charming. Jackie and Max and her team were ever so helpful, not only while I was there, but for quite a while beforehand helping me to figure out trains and things how to get there from London. I loved it so much here that I hope to go back once a year for a retreat. It was chilly, and each night I lit a fire in the fireplace and curled up with books and my writing, and felt like I was in Heaven. Thanks so much Jackie for everything.
A truly wonderful place to stay. Perfect! The location is incredible and cottage magical. Thoroughly recommend lighting the fire for a cosy evening. Hosts are really responsive, check in easy and pre-arrival communications spot on to help you find the cottage. If you get the sunshine whilst you’re there, sit outside on the bench and drink in the most stunning views. I didn’t want to leave.

We've been letting our cosy, quaint cottages for holidays since 1997 and are thrilled to be able to share such a unique location and magnificent view with guests. At least 60% are regulars, returning every year. We aim to offer relaxing, stress-free stays in comfortable well-equipped spaces. Built in 1680, the cottages are quirky with cruck beams, are modernised where important, and we're right up to date with local knowledge/tips for food/walks
