Karen and her husband are amazing hosts! Their place is so eclectic. Everyday we noticed more treasures and wonders. It is a variation of outdoor living lifestyle which we thoroughly enjoyed but be prepared for an organically delightful experience!

What a magical place! A perfect retreat and sanctuary surrounded by the sound of the ocean and birds. Walking distance to Manini beach and Kealakekua Bay. The cottage is so charming with many interesting artifacts and furniture - every time you turn you see something new that’s beautiful. The bed is so comfortable, I haven’t slept so well in a long time. The kitchen is stocked with beautiful dishes and high-quality cookery. It’s very personal and not your typical Airbnb that has cheap junkie stuff. Everything in the Bali Cottage is special. Sitting sitting on the lanai listening to Hawaiian music watching birds taking a bath and listening to the ocean crashing is just absolutely fantastic. Karen and Ron are lovely friendly hosts. I’ve stayed at dozens of Airbnbs long over a decade and this is one of the best. I cannot wait to come back. Mahalo!!! ❤️🙏

Karen and Ron are super nice and friendly hosts and their place is really extraordinary. If you're okay with old (but not worn) furniture, countless light sources and switches, and partially sharing your kitchen and bathroom (a little bit even the bedroom) with mother nature, then what you get is a light breeze while you're showering, falling asleep to the sound of crashing waves and waking up to birdsong. Plus, a nice beach is just a few meters away!

You must have in mind you will be getting a glamping experience surrounded by cool collector furnishings. I thoroughly enjoyed the space, but this is not for those who have qualms about being so close to nature. There is great lighting, wonderful books to dive into, Bluetooth speakers, and very comfortable sleeping, cooking and showering spaces. The sound of the waves will lull you to sleep at night and birdsong will wake you in the morning. Don’t leave any food out — my husband lost an entire baguette! There is ample space to store your food, so put it away. Karen was a gracious host, showing us the path to the local beach park and introducing us to the caretaker there. Don’t go to the beach without greeting the caretakers! Overall, a wonderful space and I would definitely stay here again.

The Bali cottage was a perfect ending to a beautiful vacation. Only regret wish we could’ve stayed there longer!
