Take a break and unwind at this cozy lakefront getaway located on beautiful Mississagagon Lake in North Frontenac Ontario. Enjoy lakeview scenes from every room in this knotty pine cabin which has been renovated throughout. For those looking to get back to nature, listen to loons, stargaze, enjoy campfire and experience an unforgettable escape that is the perfect spot for you. A sparsley populated spring fed lake with nothing flowing into it, makes its clarity and cleanliness second to none. The property includes ample room for chairs, sitting at the picnic table and enjoying campfires while star gazing which is amazing in this area. The 26 foot long back deck is a perfect spot to enjoy beautiful sunrises and sunsets wile standing over the rail or relaxing on the bistro set or barbecuing. Although the outside could use and will get an update soon the inside is completely renovated in knotty pine and new windows. Kitchen has all basic appliances including coffee maker and microwave, utensils, etc. The cottage and sunroom make up a total of near 600 sq ft of living space. Cottage is insulated and there are ceiling fans in both bedrooms and the main room to keep you comfortable. Queen bed in Bedroom 1 and Double in 2nd bedroom. The sunroom has plenty of windows to view the lake from all angles and has a large folding table if needed. A barbecue is onsite for you to use .

Cozy little cottage in a small cottage community known as Lancaster's Resort. Nice little beach shared with other families, so lots of other kids to play with for the youngsters. Beautiful sunsets off the back deck and sunrises out the front. Crystal clear night sky due to nearby dark sky reserve. Recommend checking out the Bonne chere caves about an hour away, bon echos amazing mazinaw lake, and the silver queen mica mine, again about an hour away. Jim is a great host and very responsive to all our messages.
Jim's place - Check in was super easy, place was very clean and well appointed. Communication with Jim was super easy and quick, never having to wait long for a response. Back porch are is very nice with great new bbq. Amazing clear, clean lake with very few cottages. Fishing was good, caught a ton of bass. It is located within a park type setting so it isn't secluded or super private but we were happy with the week considering the very fair price.
My family and had a wonderful time at Jim’s cabin at Lancaster Resort. It is very family oriented and truly a hidden gem! This place is a 1 minute walk from a sandy beach and shallow lake, perfect for children! There is paddle boards and canoes to rent and a ton of friendly neighbours. Jim was an attentive host that checked in periodically to make sure that we were satisfied with everything. We had a 10/10 experience all around! Will definitely be rebooking 😁
Lancaster Resort is great. Private, safe & peaceful. Jim was always available & his place was comfortable great location. Love the view from the back deck & sunroom 2views of the lake! We will be back!

Mississagagon Lake is known as one of the premier headwater lakes in the Land O’ Lakes region. The sparsley populated lake is entirely spring fed, with nothing flowing into it, making its clarity and cleanliness second to none.
Mississagagon Lake is a quiet lake with less recreational and boating traffic than lakes in other popular cottage locations. Once you boat, swim or fish on this spectacular lake, you will feel as though you have been transported to a lake in the far north. "Hidden Jewel" is often used to describe regions or lakes, however Mississagagon Lake - located just steps from your cottage is indeed a hidden jewel!
Free onsite parking is next to small hydro shed. Follow the many paths around the lake, resort and enter trails to explore different sights

My wife Marlene and I live in Essex County and were first introduced to this area when dating each other many years ago ! We fell in love with the lake and the surrounding area at the resort. For years we rented almost every cottage before deciding to buy one ourselves approximately 12 years ago.
