Set out on foot to: • Belmont Park (2 blocks) • Belmont Restaurants (15 min) • The Rivanna Trail (5 min) • The Downtown Mall (20 min) Short drives to Monticello (< 4 mi), grocery stores (1-2 mi), and UVA (2 mi). Your hosts are readily available in the above apartment should you need anything! The 800 sq ft, 2 bedroom, 1 full bath apartment is located on the ground floor of an upper/under residential home. You'll approach your private entrance from the single-space parking area. (There is plenty of additional parking on the street in front as well.) One side of the house is nestled into the side of a hill on a sloped yard full of garden beds. Your hosts live upstairs. They will give you your peace and privacy, but you may hear the occasional floor squeak above the living room. Both bedrooms have comfy queen beds - one is a Casper Original Hybrid Mattress (springs & foam) in one room and a mattress/box spring with 3" cooling memory foam on top. Soak away any soreness from your day's hike in newly installed cast iron tub.
Great kitchen amenities. Had everything we could need to prepare meals. Offered snacks, and a great coffee selection. The bed was like sleeping on a giant cloud! Very nice bathroom, And loved taking a bath in cast iron tub. The garden was beautiful! Would definitely stay again.
We had a great experience here. It was clean and cozy. The place was set up with thoughtful comforts from their little coffee bar to a cart full of all the things you might forget but need on a trip. Loved the flowers and outdoor seating as we walked in. Easy drive to Monticello, UVA, downtown Charlottesville as well as other shopping and restaurants. The hosts were responsive and friendly in all interactions. We enjoyed our stay. Thank you!

Collen was very warm and responsive. Her home was clean and stocked with many amenities! We had a great stay and would definitely come back!
Of course UVA is close (~2miles away), but our apartment is located in the vibrant, historic Belmont neighborhood of Charlottesville. We're two blocks away from Belmont Park which boasts great views, basketball, playground equipment, and, during the summer months, water play area for children. Access to the Rivanna Trail - a 21 mile footpath that encircles the city - is a 5 min walk away.
Belmont is home of some of the best restaurants in town - and that's saying a lot! C'ville is a foodie town. It has been supporting local foods for decades and has a restaurant per capita that rivals large cities! While there are a plethora of restaurants at the Downtown mall (Hamiltons, Fleurie, C&O, Orzo) and some landmark fine-dining that requires a drive (The Ivy Inn, The Farmhouse), a 12-15 min leisurely walk through the neighborhood will lead you to the restaurants on Monticello Rd.
Head to Tavola for authentic, from scratch Italian fare. Try Benos Bustamante's grandmother's recipes from Oaxaca at Conmole. Get your local foods on at The Local. Enjoy rounds of drinks and mouthwatering tapas a Mas. In the mood for delicious wood-fired, Neopolitan pizza? Alight to Lampo. The bayou's creole and Cajun cuisine has been brought north at the Southern Crescent. Beautiful fare at Belle, and then there's the newcomer Mockingbird.
Belmont is close to the east end of the Downtown pedestrian mall. Between April-Sept., the Ting Pavillion hosts free concerts, Fridays After Five. Be sure to check the schedule of events at other walkable venues, The Paramount and the Jefferson Theater.
Don't miss the opportunity to visit Monticello, the iconic home of Thomas Jefferson (3.7 miles away). A very manageable gravel and boardwalk hike - the Saunders-Monticello Trail will lead you to the Monticello visitor center campus. The trail crosses the road to Carter's Mountain Orchard. Soak in the breath-taking view and pick your own peaches and apples when in season. We're close to some of the best wineries and vineyards of the Monticello Wine Trail.
Belmont is conveniently located to I-64's Exit 121. The beautiful Shenandoah National Park and Skyline Drive are 30 minutes away. Nature enthusiasts truly are spoiled for choice when it comes to selecting which hiking trail or breathtaking view to explore for the day.
