If you are ready for an off grid adventure than this is the spot for you. This is a combination of off grid( solar power & running cold water) and hostel life. I felt very safe and comfortable in the female dorm. everything looks exactly like the pictures. You will see bugs (water bugs/roaches). Not saying that is a negative thing given the nature of this environment, but everything is basically outside. If that possiblity makes you uncomfortable you should not stay here. I drove 99 miles from Kona Airport and it was very easy to find. I have TMobile and there was no cell service, important to note. Overall this was a very cool place. amazing murals, outdoor and private showers, games, swings, stargazing desk, etc. The manager on site was very kind and the host was understanding of any concerns I brought to their attention.

My time here was amazing! The location of the hostel is very unique, peaceful, and and beautiful. There is a lot to see and do around the area! Dan and Marissa are both very welcoming, and I met a lot of really kind people there. I can’t wait to return one day!
