Taxi: You can simply ask the taxi to drive you to Hotel Pala in Thamel. If they don't recognize the hotel, you can tell them a few popular landmarks near by such has LOD (Lord of the Drinks, Surya Heritage Hotel, Hotel Yambu etc.)
You can also ask the driver to take you to: ASCOL (Amrit Science Campus) or to Saraswati Multiple Campus. Either one is just less than 200 meters away and will take you 2 mins walk. We have two gates on the east and west side. If you come to ASCOL you can use the east gate (main entrance) or if you come to Saraswati campus, use the back gate which is still a nice alley with many hotels nearby.
