Although I had to ask for the keycode, getting into the property was simple. The house was spotless - I would probably say suited to workers more than a family holiday. The rooms were ample and clean, I just felt it lacked a 'cosy' feeling - bedside lamps and a lamp in the lounge would have been nice but that's just preference. The outside needed maintenance at the front and back. What drew me to the property was the garden view described and the large patio. But the garden was very overgrown and not practical for my 2 children to play outside or particulalry pleasant to be on the patio. The wild poppies were beautiful however! On the morning of checkout we had maintenance knock on the door waiting to get in to fix the toilet seat. They had arrived at 9 and knocked at 9.50 even though we had until 11 to check out. I feel communication could be improved. Having said all that, the house is ideal for exploring Derbyshire and if the garden is maintained would be a great family base.

The host was so friendly and made it very easy to book. We needed the property last minute and also needed to add an extra night at last minute, her response was amazing. The house was clean, warm and comfortable and matched the description perfectly. I highly recommend this property.

Property had dusty floors and rubbish left in back garden upon arrival. This was rectified within an hour as host arranged cleaner. Property is big and spacious with 2 bathrooms, although one bathroom did not have a plug for the bath (I had to buy in order to use). Very small sofa in Iiving room (not appropriate for 9 adults as listed), which did not have terrestrial TV (until I bought appropriate wire). On the whole the property was ok but attention to details was lacking!
