Beautiful property, well maintained and close to Front Royal entrance of Shenandoah national park. The kitchen is very well equipped and makes a difference for those travelling with kids. Huge backyard and we intended to use the charcoal grill, although couldn’t do much due to ticks and mosquitoes. Also, the charcoal grill was dirty. We saw deers, raccoon and rabbits in the backyard though. No network coverage in the area but WiFi at the property is good. Highly recommend whether you just want to wind down in nature or be close to the national park.

Our stay was fantastic! We highly recommend this house if you want to get away and be in the Shenandoah Valley. The home is beautiful and modern. The windows in the great room make you feel like you are outside. The rooms accommodated our crew. The bathrooms have heated toilet seats! We enjoyed the back deck and outdoor sofa. The kitchen was well stocked; we cooked meals every night. We enjoyed the French Press as well. The property is lovely. At the back there is a great trail that follows a sizable stream. There are little foot bridges that take you to a deck where two streams converge. Our young kids had a great time exploring the trail and throwing rocks in the stream. The front of the property borders a farm and our kids loved seeing the cows on the hill. The neighboring area has a wonderful rural appeal. There is easy access to many trails, Skyline Drive (10 min away), local wineries and the town of Front Royal. The views everywhere are so picturesque. We hope to return.

This was easily one of our all-time favorite AirBnB stays. As other guests have said, when you’re here you don’t feel like you need to be anywhere else. The views of Skyline Drive are beautiful, the on-property Gooney Run creek is serene, and the house itself is stunning. We couldn’t stop saying “wow” the entire time. We hope to return to this wonderful home as soon as we can.

Shenandoah Modern Retreat Review Our family (ranging in age from four to 81) just returned from a truly wonderful, relaxing trip to this very special AirBnB. The Retreat in the name is fitting - we were all pulled away from the hustle and bustle of City life to tranquility and beauty. The home is comfortable, accommodating our varied needs, and is absolutely stunning! Pictures can not adequately capture its charm and sophistication. Deep love and care went to every detail from the dreamy Toto Washlet toilet to the deliciously well-stocked kitchen to the books on display and the toys for the little ones to the landscaping and commitment to being NetZero - all thoughtfully considered. The many big windows fill the home with additional warmth, amazing light, and pulls the beautiful surroundings in - every window held a delightful surprise! (cows, deers, a multitude of birds, hills, sunsets). We loved exploring the Creek Trial at the back
