This is the perfect location for a peaceful and private getaway. The tiny cottage was cozy and felt like home for two of us. The place has been updated and is very well decorated and furnished including a comfy bed, high quality linens and kitchen appliances. Our host was flexible and responsive and made the stay easy and relaxing. We enjoyed the friendly town of Surry, including Perry's for amazing fresh lobster just down the street. Acadia National Park was a 40 minute drive so we were close enough to take on some great hiking during the day and unwind on the private beach in the evenings. Highly recommend this lovely getaway!

My wife and I spent a few days in October at the cabin and we had an incredible time. Too much to write in this short review, but the photos did not lie and my only regret was that we weren’t able to spend more time there. Many small touches made the place really great and it was evident that the property was well cared for and recently remodeled. We did have a maintenance issue early in our stay. However, when notified, Amanda responded to us immediately and the owner was able to resolve it the same day. Issues like that come up sometimes, but the responsiveness, quick response, & satisfactory resolution of the issue stood out. Would love to stay here again and would strongly recommend it to others.

The cottage was just perfect. Right on the water, great sunrises, easy drive to Acadia, fun local hikes (Patten Stream and Blue Hill Mountain). The house was so nice and cozy that we did not go our for dinner. Ate in every night which we have never done before on vacation. Did carry-out one night from Perry's Lobster shack, which is just two miles down the road. Very peaceful, quiet location--just what we needed.

Beachcomber cottage is perfect! Beautiful, peaceful, excellent condition inside and out, and a perfect place to relax and watch the sunrise! We rode our bikes to the lobster shack for a great lobster roll! Our time went to quickly - so private but close to many great attractions. We hope to return.

We had a peaceful time at Amanda’s. The place is very tiny but the outdoor space offered many options. We spent most of our time enjoying the lovely outdoors (beach, fire pit, & picnic/grilling area). The cottage was very clean and kitchen was well equipped. Overall a beautiful property.
