Laura and her husband were incredible hosts that welcomed us warmly. We were offered some complementary fresh yogurt, eggs, jam, and milk amongst other things which were all delicious! The place was exactly as described and as shown in the pictures. We were happy with how everything was maintained and had no concern in that aspect. We thoroughly enjoyed everything this BnB had to offer! We would definitely recommend this place for anyone or any couple who'd like to have a private recluse outside the city.
Laura and Peter were fantastic during our stay. There were lots to do and and the communication leading up and during our stay was great! We also got the dinner and the pizza was the best we've ever had! We had such a great time at Wolfe Island!
If 6 stars had been an option, this airbnb would’ve deserved it! The place was charming and peaceful, the hosts were sweet and helpful… and that homemade bread alone could have been enough to give the place 5 stars. Such a wonderful location for a private gateway. Highly recommend!
Things to do during your stay:
Drive to Big Sandy Bay – a hidden gem of a beach at the end of a 1.5 km trail. Just ask and we can provide you with packable beach chairs.
We are located on the Wolfe Island cycling route. There are bicycles available for rent in Marysville.
Golf at the Wolfe Island Riverfront Golf Course
Take the free ferry to Kingston and enjoy the many restaurants and shops in the city’s historic downtown. We recommend leaving your car behind (there’s a parking lot at the island dock) and walking onto the ferry. This will eliminate wait times on both legs of your journey.
Drive to the shops in the quaint village of Marysville, home to local artisans at Fishtale Shop and the Wolfe Island Art Gallery and Craft shop. You can purchase basic groceries, meats, vegetables, and liquor at Fargo’s General Store, which has an LCBO outlet.
On Saturday mornings, stroll the Wolfe Island Farmer’s market in the village, open from 9 am to 12:30 pm
Enjoy dinner, drinks, and live music on the patio at the Hotel in the village, or join the locals at The WIPP (Wolfe Island Pizzeria and Pub).
Take a roastery tour at Haymaker’s Coffee Co., and have lunch at the Mustard Station gourmet food truck

I am a former chef in the big city. My husband, Peter, and I moved to Wolfe Island to build a resilient retirement. We now work for Mother Nature to steward the land we live on, build community, and invite people to learn about and experience locally-sourced food, including sourdough bread baked in our wood-fired oven.
