This was an absolutely amazing stay amid a beautiful horse farm, just a little off of the beaten path and still very easy to get to and close to many wonderful sites of interest. Kristján and his family were incredibly welcoming, the house was pristine and larger and even more comfortable than expected from the photos, with excellent heating and all of the amenities we could have wanted. It was a great place to stay with kids, and our hosts were incredibly generous about sharing their knowledge and love of animals with us and our children. I highly recommend it.

Great stay, lovely (huge) house, it has everything you could want. Lovely views from every window, you can watch the sunset from the sitting room. After seeing the Jeysir and the waterfall, which are just a short drive from the house, we enjoyed the hot tub in the afternoon, which was amazing, and watched the stars without freezing! It was such a lovely experience. Kristján and his wife are lovely, very welcoming, and gave us tons of recommendations. They showed us their horses, my daughter loved it. Would love to come back in summer!

We travel a family of 5 (3 kids) and Kristjan and Guðrún were amazing with us. Comunicative, kind, and very thoughtfull. We find their house absolutely perfect for us as a family. It is very well allocated, close to a lot of Iceland iconic places like Geysir, Gullfoss waterfall or Brúarfoss. Kristjan had the hot tub ready when we arrived to the house! and they even help us to see the magic northern lights ... it makes our trip!! We will repeat in the summer time soon, Many thanks!

I honestly don't have enough space to right all the amazing things about this place. from the day we booked the hosts were responsive, helpful and friendly. me and my husband went with our 2 young children (2 and 4) , My mum and her 13 year old daughter. the place felt like home and we didn't want to leave. it's so private and beautiful. beds were really comfortable and the heated floor was a dream after coming in from the winter cold. its close to many beautiful places in the golden circle and the views from the house are stunning. we can't wait to come back! just feel I need to mention the narrow bridge you have to cross. as it was covered in snow it was a bit tricky to find and we did wonder if we were going the right way but we asked kristjan and they put our minds at ease! thank you so much for a magical stay. Great house for families, homely, spacious and very cosy. highly recommend! x

Absolutely wonderful place, beautiful surroundings, gorgeous house and the hosts were incredibly kind and helpful, and made us so welcome with a bouquet of Christmas flowers. We can’t wait to come back!
