The cottage was quiet and secluded yet still close to some amazing things like Geysir and Gullfoss. The host was extremely helpful and communicated well. I was able to get settled feel comfortable and at home quickly.

The cottage was wonderful: a clean, easy space in a great location. It had everything we needed, and served as a great base for our adventures. We had a couple of questions, and our host was excellent with communication.

If you’re looking for a well-equipped place to stay while exploring the Golden Circle, this is your place! There’s plenty of privacy and it offers the most incredible view of mountains, open spaces and Geysir. After hiking during the day, we loved coming back to the cabin, soaking in the hot tub and preparing a hot meal. The kitchen had everything we needed from pots and pans, to herbs and spices—even coffee was included. We did grab takeaway food from Geysir visitor center one night, which is only a quick 10 minute drive from the cabin. The cabin was neat, clean and so nicely decorated. The beds were THE most comfortable!! We felt like we were sleeping on clouds. It was also very easy to control the temperature in each room. Maria and Ragnar were the most gracious hosts. Would definitely book this place again!
