汤森 · 整套民居 · 3室4床2.0卫 · 可住8人 · Waterfront, 7 acres; Stunning Marsh Home Priv Dock
Visit this peaceful Georgia cabin for a quiet you didn’t know still existed on the last remaining stretch of undeveloped Georgia coast. Kayak off your private dock. Hear the breeze blowing through the Spanish moss on the oak trees that surround you. Savor coffee on the porch w/the sunrise. Mother Nature constantly changes the artwork of light and wildlife with the ever-changing tides. Learn the love story behind "Ms. Lou's Cabin," named in honor of original owner. Sits on 7 private acres. This property is one of a kind on the Georgia coast. You'll have 7 acres to yourself along with your own private dock. The home itself is a restored long cabin. We have lovingly brought her back to life, providing you with a clean, modern amenities experience while also enjoying nature, wildlife, and quiet you didn't know still existed. If you long to see what paradise looked like before they paved it over and put up a parking lot, this is the place for you. That being said, it is a quirky 50 year old cabin with a different type of layout. The Airbnb software and photos don't allow to completely explain it. The listing says it sleeps 8 and indeed it can. Just understand: There are two regular bedrooms. One has a king-sized bed. The other features two queen-sized beds. What is listed as the third bedroom is the front sitting room. It is roomy and has pocket doors that allow you to create a separate private bedroom. The fourth sleeping space is the roomy upstairs loft. Both of these spaces have sleeper sofas that pull out to queen-sized beds. They honestly can be some of the most popular sleeping spaces in the cabin because they offer the most incredible views. And we do have nice bedding to make them very comfortable. We share to say if you are looking for a cookie cutter McMansion where everyone gets their own room and bathroom, Ms. Lou's Cabin is not for you. But if you're looking for a clean, updated quirky space on a marsh that you will never forget, then please come see us!
We had a great stay with our two younger kids at the cabin. We are easy going and wanted to have a quiet spring break week away from the crowds. We took a day trip to Savannah for lunch but wish we’d just stayed at the cabin that day instead. Everything you need or forgot at home is a short drive away at the Dollar Store, Piggly Wiggly or Publix. We bought live shrimp at the Shellman Fish Camp- didn’t catch much but the kids had a good time practicing their casting skills and kayaked a little down the canal. The house was a great set up for us- didn’t use the fold out couches. The cabin is quiet and the stars are beautiful- saw the space station and a shooting star. Was nice to have a washer for the kids clothes as they had fun digging around in the dirt and we roasted marshmallow at the fire pit most nights. Our host Daryn was super responsive for questions or anything we needed. Thank you!
Amazing in every way. Ms. Lou’s cabin has expansive tidal marsh views, is wonderfully decorated with a coastal vibe, and is immensely serene. Daryn is a wonderful host - communicative and responsive. She is clearly a student of the marsh, gladly offering information about the wildlife and habitat that she learned from Ms. Lou herself. The cabin itself is very clean, open and inviting, with plenty of space for family or friends. My favorite spot was the screened back porch, which has comfy seating to spend hours reading or simply watching the birds hunting their next meal from the dock. Kingfishers, anhingas, great blue herons, egrets, snipe…so much to enjoy. While the cabin is remote, Daryn’s directions get you right to the front door. Don’t hesitate to choose Ms. Lou’s cabin if you’re looking for a peaceful getaway - you won’t regret it!
The spot is uniquely beautiful with the live oak trees and Spanish moss leading to very open marsh view. Daryn is an amazing host, not only answering questions promptly, but researching if she doesn’t have an answer!! The house is comfortable and in very good taste. With games and books. The outside is fantastic for kids and dogs to run and play.
Great place to relax and be away from it all yet still with in reasonable driving distance to Savannah if you’re looking to visit the historic riverside city. Small fishing villages nearby for bait, fishing gear, etc. Big trees with Spanish moss canopy the entire property for a true southern plantation feel and the dock is great to watch the sunrise and the sunset (which turns the entire marsh golden)….absolutely stunning!! Spacious home, well kept, well stocked, and a great host!! Plenty of fire wood for the fire pit at the entrance of the dock. Definitely a great and beautiful place that makes you feel you’re the only ones around! Thanks to Daryn for preserving and sharing such a unique a wonderful place!
* beautiful Creek and Marsh view with beautiful accompanying bird sounds * a fire pit under with great seating * a spotless, clean house with all the kitchen items you need to prepare meals * peaceful setting to be with family and friends * large comfortable dock where I enjoyed my coffee and a visit from a feeding dolphin * fresh blue crab cooked up and served on a table underneath the oaks If these are the things you are looking for… You had found it. Daryn is very communicative and proactive. We had a wonderful four days day, and certainly hope to make it back for another family visit. There is no reason you ever need to leave as long as you show up with all the needed groceries. One of us did go play golf one day and one night we went to Hunter’s Café, which was also very enjoyable.
Ms. Lou's Cabin sits on 7 private acres. You will look out on an ever-changing coastal tidal marsh. Your neighbors are tons of wildlife including birds, fish, crabs, dolphins, raccoons, deer and more. This is an incredibly quiet place to come gather, unwind from the stress of the city, work remotely, enjoy ecotourism. This is not a place for loud parties.
You definitely need a car. We are located 15 minutes down country roads off of I-95. The final two roads you come down to get to the cabin are unpaved, yet completely drivable. We have plenty of room for parking including a two-car carport. We also have plenty of room for RVs, trailers and your boat.
自我介绍
When my husband and I moved to this remote section of the GA coast, our city friends thought we were crazy. We haven't looked back. Our neighbor, Louise, took us under her wing, teaching us the ways of the marsh: the tides, the critters, the weather and the beauty. Lou lived here for more than 40 years with her beloved husband. When he passed away, Louise decided her time here was done. We couldn't bear for the wrong people to get their hands on her precious log cabin and the 7 wild acres it sits on. So, we bought the cabin, lovingly restored it and are now ready to share her with the world. When you come to Ms. Lou's Cabin, know that you are staying in a home built on love and you are helping us do our part to keep this precious section of the coast wild and undeveloped. Come see us for your first visit to Ms. Lou's. It certainly won't be your last.
