The Lone Pine Cabin gets its name from our favorite camping site along the Crooked River in Central Oregon. This home is perfect for families trying to escape the city. Lake Tahoe vibes – without the crowd. Only 6 miles south of Sunriver, 20 miles south of downtown Bend, and 20 miles east of Mt. Bachelor. Endless opportunities nearby to satisfy any of your interests. DCCA #821576 This truly is a unique area, surrounded by National Forest, nestled in the switchbacks of the Deschutes River, and shadowed by Ponderosa Pines. Year-round activities can be enjoyed at the Lone Pine Cabin. In the winter, you can enjoy the short, yet scenic, drive up to Sunriver where you can shop, ice skate, or dine at some of the local restaurants and breweries. Nearby entertainment includes the local snow park, where you can enjoy snow-shoeing or cross-country skiing. Head west to Mt Bachelor to hit the slopes. Come back to the cabin and warm up by our wood stove, soak in the private hot tub, or play a board/card game with the family. The summer offers countless activities. Take a short walk to the private dock on the Deschutes River. Float, kayak, or paddleboard the river or keep your feet planted on the ground with the 3+ miles of paved biking/walking paths. Private community amenities include a swimming pool and pickleball/tennis courts. **Swimming pool is open from Memorial Day weekend to Labor Day weekend, weather permitting. The HOA makes all decisions to close the pool.** Prepare a home-cooked meal in the fully stocked kitchen. Enjoy the peace and tranquility of the backyard patio, play a game at the lovely dining area, or kick back in any one of the three bedrooms – each with its own TV. Such a comfortable and clean home in beautiful surroundings. I wish Airbnb homes were always this great! It smells clean inside, no offensive odors or perfumes, the towels and sheets all smell clean, and the fridge dispenses clean water. Everything was in working order, though we did not try the hot tub. So close to the river for an evening walk, and easy to drive to beautiful river and mountain trails. FYI, get a recreation pass before you go if you don’t already have one! We didn’t have the Northwest Forest Pass or another accepted pass, so we couldn’t park at some of the places we wanted to go. They don’t sell the passes at most trailheads, though you can buy and print one or visit a forest service station. This doesn’t work if it’s Sunday and you don’t have a printer though. Plan ahead :) Wonderful place! The best Airbnb experience I’ve had in years.

Great place to get away from the central Bend madness but still had easy access to everything the area offers.
This was our first stay in the River Meadows area. We typically stay in Sun River. Between the two areas, I choose River Meadows from now on. Stephanee's home was modern and clean, close to bike trails (that were peaceful and uncrowded), and in a quiet neighborhood without a lot of traffic. It's an easy drive to Mt. Bachelor, and a quick drive to Sun River for groceries and pizza. Stephanie is an amazing host who is quick to respond and goes above and beyond! The house was perfect for our needs. Far and away better than every rental experience we've had in Sun River!
We’ve really enjoyed our stay at this place, located at a quiet and lovely neighborhood. The house was clean and came with plenty of new amenities. Our hosts were responsive and helpful. The house is about 30 min drive from the Big Sky ski resort and 10min drive to the grocery store, which is not bad. Would recommend this place.
