We have just returned from a great week at John’s place. The storms didn’t ruin our week as it was lovely to have an open fire on each evening. The property was exactly as described, the children really enjoyed the large loft space upstairs with the pool table. The property was very easy to find and John was a great host, always very responsive and friendly. We will definitely look to book again.

We found all rooms bright and airey during daytime and cosy at night. We had a wonderful view overlooking the lake. The senerary in the area is beautiful and the locals were friendly and warm. We would stay again.

We are a family of 5 and we were more than comfortable in the house . Each of the 3 children had their own room with adjacent bathrooms. We had a lovely spacious room upstairs also with adjacent bathroom. The house is very clean and comfortable and is extremely well equipped especially in the kitchen . The kids loved the games room / chill out area upstairs with the pool table . The house is very quiet and we slept very well , just road passing by the front garden separates the house from Lough Mask. Lake access with a car park and little pier is within 2 minutes drive . It would be a perfect place for anglers .We enjoyed taking the kayak out on the lake to enjoy some fishing. We took some beautiful drives into the Mamturk mountains for hiking , Connemara national park, Glassilaun beach , Doogh Lough , took a trip to beautiful Clare Island for a days hike . The houses location requires a car and driving to these locations but for us it wasn’t a problem. Overall we had a lovely stay .

A beautiful home with lovely view of the lake. Peaceful area and still not far from local attractions beaches and Greenway.
