Amazing 1 bedroom loft located in Dhumbahal Square, a beautiful and quiet area of the Old Patan, 200 meters away from Patan Durbar Square. The apartment has an amazing balcony with plunging view over a century-old Buddhist Stupa. It is a wonderful place if you are in search of peace and authenticity. The prime view over the century-old Stupa and children playing in the square will surely add a spark on your day :) The flat is composed of a fully equipped kitchen /bright living room, a bedroom with comfy bed and organic cotton linens, working space and 2 modern bathrooms with good hot water. Great Wifi. The flat is extremely bright and well ventilated - It has windows on three faces. It is one of a kind in the old Patan. As it is spacious, we can easily add an extra mattress in the living room to fit a third person. Guests can also use shared roof terrace on the top floor which has beautiful views. That is also where the washing machine is located, that can be used free of cost.

Beautiful stay! When we reached this stay, we had been traveling in Nepal for couple of weeks and this was hands down the best place we stayed at. The team is great, we had a bit of confusion getting to the spot, so I would recommend staying in touch with the team as you make your way to the place. Besides that, 10 on 10 for everything from cleanliness to close proximity to Patan Durbar Sq. I would definitely recommend this place !
Each room is beautifully decorated with great attention to detail. I loved the colors and furniture choices, which created a cozy and inviting atmosphere. I highly recommend this place to fellow travelers. Can't wait to stay here again!

The peaceful and pretty Dhumbahal square and its quiet stupa is a real gem.
The Old Patan is a fantastic area to stay in. It is much more authentic and traditional than touristic Thamel or Kathmandu and its heterogeneous concrete jungle. Here, right in the middle of a UNESCO heritage sites, you will be surrounded by many treasures: hindu temples everywhere, Buddhist stupas, hidden courtyards, secret paths, monasteries, local food spots...
In addition, the vibrant local life of the Newars (the original ethnic group of the Kathmandu Valley) guarantees you a very rich cultural experience.
On arrival, you will receive our Cosy Nepal handy guide book that contains all our best local tips and recommendations to have the best time in the old Patan.
Note that the Old Patan isn't a party area . There is plenty of very good restaurants and local food spots in our neighborhood but most of them will be closed before 10pm. At night, the area is very quiet. If you are looking for night entertainment please take a cab to go to Jhamsikhel or to Thamel

Taxi can be found in Durbar Square and Patan Dhoka at all time of the day and night.
There are two big public bus stations around (10 min walk away from us): Lagankhel and Patan Dokha.
From there you can go down to Kathmandu Ratna Park and to many places and villages around.
As a general fact, we discourage our guests to be systematically brought back by taxi or car until our front door (beside the first day of course!). The old Patan is a very fragile area and cannot handle too much traffic and pollution.
Ask the taxi to drop you in Mangal Bazar or in Patan Dhoka and have a walk in all those beautiful small alleys and courtyards to reach our house, it is much healthier and enjoyable for all ;-)
