I had a lovely experience at viola and martins place. I come to Santa Cruz every year and I’ve stayed in Scott’s valley twice now , and I can say I would definitely love to come back here. Wish I booked an extra day just to enjoy the airbnb more lol. It was the first time for my friends too and they absolutely loved it. Thank you viola and Martin for hosting us :)
We loved staying at Viola’s peaceful woodland home. The neighborhood is beautiful and quiet, and the deck looking over the trees is spectacular. Great place to sit and read, enjoy a meal or just admire the scenery. Make sure to visit the nearby nature preserve where there are wonderful hiking and running trails. We were in California to tour the UCSC campus with our soon to be college students, and found the house to be a relaxing place to return to after a day spent exploring. Our check in and check out process was smooth, and the photos showing the entry to the house were especially helpful since we arrived in the dark and were tired from a long drive. Also, the beds were comfortable! The kitchen area is small but fairly well equipped. We made good use of the hot plate, toaster and electric kettle. When I had questions for Viola she was prompt in responding, and though some reviews mentioned the noise from upstairs it didn’t bother us at all. .
Great place, very quiet and comfortable with a lovely deck. Perfectly placed to explore the redwoods, Santa Cruz and further south to Monterey, Carmel etc. Really nice hosts. Highly recommended!
Amazing location for peace and quiet. Viola is an amazing host, always checked in to let us know if we needed anything. House is very clean and has all the amenities you need for your stay. Definitely recommend!
We had a fantastic stay amongst the redwood trees at Viola's place. The apartment was well equipped with everything we needed, clean and comfortable. As mentioned the flat is below the main house so you do hear some transmitted noise but this is appropriately described and it didn't bother us, we didn't even feel the need to use the provided earplugs!
