Make some memories at this unique and friendly home. The garden suite is below our home with private entrance, laundry and bath. There is a make-shift kitchen in the laundry room with toaster oven, coffee pot, and a small fridge. TV with Netflix, Prime and streaming is provided. We are less than a 10-minute drive to Ohio University & downtown Athens. Our home sits at the end of a dead-end street in a peaceful wooded setting. We try to accommodate early check-in and late check-out when possible. The room is large and set up as a studio. The couch is converted into a queen size bed with a 3" memory foam mattress added. Super comfortable. The attached bathroom is private with an on demand hot water system, so you will never run out of hot water. The 42" Roku TV has streaming channels with Netflix and Prime provided. There is a DVD player with a variety of movies available. The shared laundry room is attached. A small patio is outside the sliding glass door. The yard is available for you with a fire pit and firewood. All doors in the main room are equipped with a lock.

A hidden gem. Absolutely perfect for a weekend stay if visiting your kids at OU. But also would highly recommend just for a peaceful little weekend getaway. Loved the location, the surroundings, the birds chirping, the freshness in the air… slept with the slider open. Simple, easy and gratifying. Thanks Suzanne!
Suzanne was a great host! Booked her place last minute while preparing for college move out. It was exactly what we needed! A comfortable bed, quiet peaceful country setting and within 10 minutes of campus. We will stay again.

We are at the dead end of quiet wooded lane with about a dozen homes in the neighborhood. Folks are friendly. Children play in their yards and you'll see neighbors out walking their dogs. We ask that you keep your speed to 20 mph or less as you come and go from our property. You will need to drive a mile towards town for a gas station/convenience store. Ohio University Campus and downtown Athens are another mile and a half.
We live on top of a ridge, so a car is pretty important. The nearest convenience store is 1 mile towards town. Ohio University and downtown Athens are another 1.5 miles. Walking is not really an option. I have been known to shuttle folks to downtown on busy weekends if I'm available. Rideshare and taxis are available but can be unreliable on busy weekends.

I have lived in Athens, a small college town, for over 50 years; raising my family and working as a waitress, social worker, and nurse. I spend time with family and friends, sing in a women's choir, volunteer a lot, and work in my yard. I enjoy my Airbnb experiences. It's been fun to recently upgrade the space with new lighting and furniture. It's like playing with a doll house and trying to make it perfect. Such fun!
