波伊斯 · 袖珍小屋 · 1室1床1.5卫 · 可住2人 · Ty Ffîn - Glamping Cabin, Dog Friendly
Think glamping but with a WOW factor! Ty Ffin is designed to bring back the simpler way of living, to get yourself off-grid and immerse yourself in surrounding nature to reset your soul. Get wholesome; put down the phone, light the fire pit, swing in a hammock, take walks or hikes, play board games, read books, visit pretty local towns and come back to your own luxury campsite where everything is catered for so all you need to bring is clothes, food and the dog! Ty Ffin is a truly unique and luxury off-grid glamping experience for those who love the camping life and want to get back to nature with the simpler way of living, but enjoy a little bit of luxury at the same time. You'll need wellies and gratitude, let this place work it's magic on you by just 'being'. Ty Ffin compromises of two mobile wooden cabins joined by decking to make one beautiful Welsh countryside getaway with huge windows boasting 180 degree views of uninterrupted green valley lushness with an added bonus of pink sunrises and sunset skies year round, and the most starry night sky you'll ever set eyes on. Ty Ffin is off-grid so there are NO mains electric but do not fear, I have designed this cabin with liveability in mind so it has battery/remote operated lighting indoors, solar lighting outdoors, portable gas heaters to keep you warm, a hygienic flush toilet, a hot gas-powered shower and a whole host of extras to make it feel like a home away from home. I encourage a digital detox to switch off from 'media life' but there is 4g here and I recommend bringing portable chargers if you want to keep the phone battery topped up. Wellies are also a good idea (especially in the wetter months) as the cabin is based on a farm and the sheep love to make a bit of mud! Cosy warm clothing at night in the winter is also advised but you will have brushed cotton bedding, throws and hot water bottles to get extra snug :) Ty Ffin set up - the smaller cabin is for the bedroom with a double bed, orthapeadic mattress, brushed cotton sheets, fresh towels, books, a small gas heater, remote controlled lighting and a vanity area with clothes hanging storage. The larger cabin is for the kitchen, dining and lounge area; this has a fully stocked kitchen, breakfast bar, double portable gas stove with grill/hot plate for cooking (basically you can make anything, apart from what you would put in an oven - pizza, etc), a large cool box with icepacks to keep all your food chilled, tea, coffee, sugar, sweetners, oat/almond milk, a cafetierre with filtered coffee, bottled drinking water, a large gas heater, two types of remote controlled lighting and all the cook and tablewear you need for your stay. The lounge has a large cuddle sofa (which you can turn to face whichever view you like!), an array of books, maps, games, candles, throws and also a dog bed and bowl set should you want to bring a pooch too (only one dog allowed per stay here though!). Behind the cabins sits a separate unit with 3 doors. 1- An outdoor heated gas shower with toiletries. 2 - A WC with a hygenic camping toilet with flush (no emptying necessary) and a vanity area. 3 - A boot room for luggage, boots and coats and a bbq for the summer months. There's also an outdoor washing up area too; this area is the glamping side of things - you'll be filling up the portable sink with hot water from the shower to wash up (cleaning equipment/products are provided) and there is a drying rack also. Theres sensor lighting for those late night toilet runs and also torches provided, both toilet and shower room have their own touch lights too. Outside of the main cabins you'll find two decking areas with solar lighting at night along with super cosy camping chairs, an outdoor firepit (including logs, kindling, firelighters, etc), a hammock, an outdoor table/bench area for eating and the whole place has a picket fence surrounding it - perfect for keeping your dog in and our sheep out... Did i mention it was a working farm? Sheep often live in the surrounding fields but don't let that put the doggy owners off - it's a brilliant and very calm way to introduce your dogs to other animals and the fence is fully secure so your dogs can roam free in the wrap around garden without feeling too constrained - no escapees so far! If there are sheep in the field and you venture out with your dog, a lead is necessary; if there aren't any sheep, then your garden becomes huge as the field is privately owned so your dog can run as free as they like. There is also a river with a beached area at the bottom of the field too! (Thank you for reading this far- there's more, stay with me!) Although Ty Ffin is very well equipped and decorated to a high standard, this stay is a glamping off-grid cabin experience so be prepared to get your hands (but mainly wellies) dirty. I've tried my best to build an experience, not just a stay, where you get indoor luxury but also outdoor back to basics camping humbleness, a real balance of a luxury and simplicity to bring gratitude to the forefront. This place is also perfect for those who love hiking, canoeing/paddle boarding, cute little towns/shopping, books, moutains/waterfalls and food! Ty Ffin is sitauted 10 minutes from the famous book town of Hay on wye (voted prettiest town in Wales) which is perfect for shopping, eating amazing food and much more! Then 30 minutes from Ty Ffin are the Brecon Beacons/ Bannau Brycheiniog for all your mountain/lake/waterfall dreams. It's also 10 minutes from the River Wye to canoe/kayak/paddleboard (and the smaller River Arrow is just across the field from Ty Ffin too with a small beached area perfect for picnics and paddling. It is close to so many amazing places to eat (all in the welcome book when you check in!) and situated right on the edge of the famous Offas Dyke Path - you can access the footpath to it directly in front of Ty Ffin! There's probably so much more to say but I might overload you! The rest is all in the welcome book when you arrive here and I am always available for recommendations/questions/queries on everything in the area, trust me I've done it all! I hope you love it here and fully embrace this welsh border luxury cabin glamping experience and leave feeling reset, restored and with a happy soul :)
We had the most perfect weekend at Ty Ffin. Every detail possible has been thought of in the design of the cabin and its surroundings, and the setting was so peaceful and private. We adored waking up to the sheep and lambs that surrounded the fence, and the perimeter made it super dog friendly (ft. dog bed, bowls, biscuits too). The sunsets were beautiful and it truly felt like you were off grid and away from the world. You could easily spend the whole weekend relaxing at the cabin with a book, or there’s plenty of walks nearby - including a really short walk to the stream in the same field, or longer loops to great pubs nearby. Thank you Chloe for all your communication and help! We will definitely be back.
This was so beautiful ! It was the perfect mid week away to reset. Easy process. Good location. Peaceful and quiet location but close to amenities. Beautiful area and views. Very very helpful host. Exactly how described and better ! Cannot recommend more ! It was stunning. We walked most days from the cabin and there was plenty to do Rain or shine !
Chloe, thank you SO much for making us feel so welcomed and at home at Ty Ffin ! Everything from as soon as I booked via AirBnB, to a week before checking in and all the comms in between was really helpful and I want to thank you for taking your time to being so thoughtful of everything. We had everything we needed in Ty Ffin, it was utterly relaxing and so homely. Everything was comfortable and we were always warm enough. The only thing we struggled with was.....holding ourselves back from cuddling all the lamb!! so adorbs! I'll be recommending Ty Ffin to everyone I know, it's an absolute gem and you can just tell the attention to detail and love and care Chloe has put into the place.
Ty Fin was just what we hoped for, a remote and peaceful place overlooking nothing but some rolling hills and without a person or any sign of humans in sight. Chloe was a great host and always on hand if we needed. The fenced boundary meant our dog was free to roam also. We would happily come back!
what a fabulous stay Ty Ffin. Chloe was an amazing host, so helpful and proactive. clear instructions with a helpful video of where to go and what to find. the place itself is exactly as described, quiet and peaceful. we really enjoyed our time there and hope to come back very soon. just what we needed!
Ty Ffin is situated in one of the fields on my family's farm overlooking the green pastures of a Welsh valley, the (accessible) River Arrow and the famous Offas Dyke Path. The farm is quiet but on occasion my family will move sheep around and check livestock - they are friendly and won't interfere with your stay so give them a wave if you see them! The whole area is that of a hamlet, with only 4 houses in total - a very quiet and friendly neighbourhood. The closest house is that of my own and next door are my parents so I'm never far away if you need anything. There is one other cabin I own and also on Airbnb (Calm Acre Cabin) but it is a field away and purposely out of sight/earshot/mind so both have your own privacy and uninterrupted views. There is also a public footpath that runs through the field in front but it is very quiet and rarely used, but for guests it is excellent to go for a walk on and reach Offas Dyke Path for amazing views over the Black Mountains and Brecon Beacons. 10 minutes away is the stunning book town Hay-on-Wye that is most definitely worth a visit (voted prettiest town in Wales) and also the Rive Wye which - excellent for canoeing and paddle-boarding. Then 30 minutes away is the mighty Bannau Brycheiniog (Brecon Beacons) National Park, for all the mountains, waterfalls and hikes you could wish for!
Ty Ffin offers parking right outside of the cabin and in a private field so you know your car is safe. In the winter months the fields can get a little wet so there is alterative parking just a short walk away but i will let you know this ahead of time. The best way to get around here is by car - Ty Ffin is in the heart of the countryside which is perfect for relaxing in but to reach shops, eateries, pubs, etc it requires a short drive. There is public transport in the towns of Hay-On-Wye and Kington (10 minutes away) and the nearest train station is Hereford or Leominster (30 minutes away).
