On a mountain plateau extending between Lefka Ori and the South Cretan Sea one finds the small beautiful village of Agios Ioannis considered to be one of the most isolated villages in Crete with a year-round population. Agios Ioannis is where the road ends and a network of foot paths is starting. Short and long paths lead to the mountain, to the gorges, to the sea. The sea that is also reachable by car! Petres, the greek for "stones", an old "feel like the villagers" house rebuilt in 2023. The PETRES apartment comprises of two separate rooms each one with its own bathroom (wc & shower), connected by a common seating room and a fully equipped kitchenette with all conveniences and ingredients to (self) prepare breakfast. It sleeps up to 6 guests in four separate beds. If you are more than six you may unroll on the floor the two Bed in a Bag futon mattresses provided! Seating areas in the front yard, under the shade of a 1000 old olive tree and mulberry trees!
