The most perfect place. Surroundings were stunning, views from every window. We felt so at home from the moment we arrived. Jane had kindly left the heating on for us as we arrived late, and some delicious homemade treats . We will definitely be back.
Absolutely beautiful. Perfect location, very quiet and lovely surroundings. Wild deer on the fields in front, chickens in the garden, and a very friendly ginger cat who loved cuddles! Spotlessly clean and had absolutely everything we needed. Jane was fantastic at looking after us and couldn't do enough. We stay near Durham about 4 times per year but finally we have found one we are most definitely going to go back to. Thanks Jane, see you soon x
Wonderful place, we had a fantastic stay, would highly recommend
We had a wonderful stay at Jane’s cottage. The cottage itself is really lovely and well equipped. It’s in beautiful calm surroundings and the having the flowers and feeding tables near the windows means you have beautiful nature sights at every window. We visited with our two young children and it was great to have a comfortable travel cot and single beds for the children. Jane even had a bed guard! All this was so helpful as we had more space in the car! The kitchen was well equipped and I enjoyed cooking in it! The en-suite bathrooms were clean and comfortable. There was a lot of options for thing’s to do in the local area too, we particularly enjoyed holmside park! Thanks so much Jane, if we’re ever in the area again, we’ll definitely be back!
Fabulous accommodation, finished to a high level, very clean and has all amenities needed to make it feel like home. Our engineers had a very comfortable stay. Jane couldn't have been more accommodating, she would go the extra mile if necessary, for example, asking what time they will arrive so the heating could be turned on, I just think that's a very thoughtful touch as not many hosts think this way. We would return to this property again if working in the area. Many thanks.
