This is a wonderful villa and Pilar is a truly exceptional host. She was in constant communication with us to check that everything was ok and she even greeted us at the villa to show us round. The rooms are light and spacious and the bathrooms in particular are stunning, with every room having an ensuite. We especially enjoyed the private chef experience and would definitely recommend this to future guests (there is information in the villa about this). The only downside was that the pool outside was cold, although if you come here during the hottest season you would probably appreciate this. All in all an amazing stay and excellent value for money!

Here is an honest review. There are 2 main concerns with this property that ruined our trip personally. First, this house is NOT FOR KIDS. If you have little kids this house is filled with Art with signs that say please do not touch and a staircase that any toddler can fall through - we spent the whole time trying to ensure the kids didn’t touch anything or go up the steps. Secondly and most importantly - we came to mexico to swim in the pool. The pool was terrible. The pool wasn’t fully filled and didn’t even reach the filter so it was standing water and had leaves and attracted mosquitos. The pool area was unkept and had NO pool chairs or lounge seats … we spoke with locals who even said they don’t swim in the pool ever. It was really saddening and a let down for the kids and we ended up just leaving a day early bec of that. But some positives - the beds are so comfy and the house is very pretty and Pilar is a GREAT hostess, she’s super communicative, thoughtful and kind!

The house in Uva del Mar was gorgeous! It was just as the photos showed. While it was a little tricky for us to find, once inside the very secure neighborhood we enjoyed lots of walking paths and a little shop and restaurant. It was peaceful and quiet. In the evenings a distant neighbor practiced the trumpet. It was a bit of background music that added to the ambiance. We took our four sons who enjoyed the home's indoor and outdoor spaces. The pool is very cold in January, but most of the boys took a quick dip anyway. The Yucutan Jay birds entertained us for most of the week, but the best visit was by two spider monkeys right at dusk on the tree just above the top balcony. Other highlights of the home included a hammock nap, relaxing bath, and cooking together. We purchased, cured, and seasoned our own molcajete. The open kitchen made for some great family memories making salsa and guacamole and toasting corn tortillas into chips. An unforgettable trip!
