This is a perfect place to stay if you want to be surrounded by nature. The house is spacious and the eclectic furniture adds to the charm. Ricki responded quickly to any question we had and we would definitely stay here again. One thing to note - the propane grill isn’t working so plan to do your cooking inside.

Peaceful and quiet, beautiful outdoors! if you’re looking for the wide open spaces in the mountains, this house is for you. The house looks to be built in the 50’s. The new large screen tv with comfortable chair, foot rest and sofa were very comfortable. Lots of clean blankets provided. The taxidermy animals all over the walls is a little strange and scary for our 3 year old. It was clean with exception of the kitchen. The kitchen needs more full size glassware, wine glasses, decent set of pots and pans and set of stainless for the kitchen drawer. The appliances are pulled out from the wall making the kitchen smaller. Kitchen needs to be much cleaner. There is no dishwasher but we don’t mind washing dishes. Overall, though, we enjoyed the location, the bedrooms and bathrooms, dining room and living rooms were clean and we don’t mind washing dishes. For what we paid and what we received we were pleased overall especially with the owner’s responsiveness.

Shhhhhhhhhh, listen. I don’t hear anything. Exactly, that is how our vacation started at Jackson River Ridge. A home in the valley between two beautiful mountains was our perfect getaway. From the friendly people in Monterey who go out of their way to help you to the friendly staff at the Omni Homestead in Hot Springs it is truly a hidden gem for a getaway vacation. The home’s surroundings offers serenity, beauty, and wildlife, while inside you have a home with a master suite, offering a king size bed and two other bedrooms that you will find very comfortable. It felt like our home away from home. We will definitely be back soon.

This was a great venue for me and a buddy from our astronomy club to take in some dark, star-filled skies during the weekend of the Perseid meteor shower (between the two of us we saw over 120). We could set up equipment near the house since we had discretion as to what lights to turn off, and that enabled us to maintain wifi for the instruments. Long story short, even though the weather was not perfect, we got in lots of time viewing the heavens (Ps 19:1) The host describes the property perfectly - it is modest but very functional and comfortable. As an example, the kitchen is not outfitted with top of the line Calphalon cookware, but it has a full complement of whatever you might need. In short, it reflected what my own kitchen might look like at a country get-away home, having acquired all the little things that you realize you need over time. Another thing to note was that Ricki was very responsive to any inquiry I made. In the iconic words of Arnold - "I'll be back!"
