We loved it here. Girls weekend with our dogs was just what our souls needed. We relaxed by the fire inside and outside by the water. The covered deck allowed us to sit outside with blankets while it snowed. The beds were comfortable and the whole house felt like home to us. We didn’t want to leave. Manette responded quickly with any questions/clarifications and told us local recommendations. The calmness of the mountains brought us so much peace.

Incredible spot. I had a blast driving to and from snowshoe before relaxing into the hot tub. Would recommend to anyone.

Spacious and private definitely a good way to disconnect from a busy life style and the river out back was accessible. We enjoy the games (uno and monopoly) available and the ability to just sit out back on deck cover porches or the front covered porches.

Absolutely breathtaking area of Virginia, clean/comfortable accommodations, legit dog friendly w no pet fees (thank you), lots of amenities, amazing host. Feels a world away surrounded by peace & beautiful scenery, but 20 min drive through Amish (or Mennonite?) country with only a horse & buggy to slow down your commute to the town of Monterey for supplies, shopping & restaurants. The people in town are so friendly. Such a charming & lovely overall experience and miss it already. Highly recommend!!!
