Nice plot by the sea, cosy beds! The only thing that bothered me was that the pool was not useable 3 out of 4 days and the seating options were not prepared as in the pictures. The staff worked a lot when I was a guest. That could have been done before my arrival. So I hardly had any privacy because they walked back and forth all the time!! But they are very nice and give their best. The food was delicious. And I got a coffee every morning There is also a nature pool in the sea which was not mentioned in the advertisement. Great for people who are afraid of sharks I would recommend the accommodation if the points I mentioned are improved!! The host was very accommodating and always available 🙏

The stay at Kottan on sea was amazing. We loved the place and the food and service was amazing. Yohan and the other caretaker was so helpful and friendly. They went above and beyond to make our stay a good and memorable one. However, we did run into a very difficult situation, the AC in the downstairs bedroom did not work. Therefore we had to share 2 rooms even though we paid for 3 rooms (the full house) it was a bit of an inconvenience since we paid to have our individual beds and not have to share. I don’t know what your policy is when something like this happens, but I was not offered a refund or solution. I do wish Saman, the property manager was as attentive as the other staff…. He seemed a bit unbothered about the guest and wanted to change the morning breakfast requests a few times by giving us various excuses. Which made us upset since the menu clearly gives instructions. He somehow managed to give in by saying he didn’t understand what it said and after admitted he did.

It is a great villa. Is much better in real life than in photos. The location is amazing - right on the beach. You can see and hear ocean from the room. The staff was very friendly and helpful. I was really amazed by the whole experience. I’d definitely go there again and probably for a longer period of time.

The listing said Tangalle but this was closer to Dikwella so be warned. Aside from that it is a beautiful terraced home not suitable for those with mobility issues or toddlers. We loved the views and the rooms were generous and decor appealing. Many outdoor spaces to roam around and your own ocean pool too. There are meals provided if you want but they can be of variable quality. Breakfasts were great. All guests must choose the same menu which can be limiting with kids. The housekeeper speaks limited English. There is also a security guard who roams about. Not sure I appreciated this as it felt less private as a result. There is a supermarket and shops nearby to get groceries as you need to provide all your food if not getting their set menus. The chef did fry some fish for us which was great. I recommend this place if you love a private retreat and want the option of the sea and a pool and don’t mind providing your own drinks/ groceries.

Loved our stay at Kottan on sea. It was a beautiful property overlooking the sea. The host and caretakers were very nice to us. The place is well maintained. Worth the money!
