Teresa welcomed me to her AirBnb when I needed to stay overnight following the funeral and burial of my father that same day. Teresa was very understanding regarding my late arrival following the most difficult events of the day that all of us go through at one point or another in our lives. A heartwarming treat that I found in her kitchen upon my arrival was her batch of homemade delicious, nay, scrumptious muffins and chocolate chip cookies -- probably the best I have ever had. One overarching filigree throughout the locale was Teresa's great attention to detail and aim to make every item of the home's decor, amenities, and offering as perfect as can be within its category. With that being said, what more could I possibly say, except, "Thank you so very much, Teresa, for having been there to welcome me on the saddest of days, with exactly what I needed to rest and thereafter return to the world around us."
Our stay with Teresa was amazing! Teresa reached out to ask if we would like any home-baked goods. She not only baked two types of delicious desserts for us, but she also stocked the kitchen with gluten free snacks for me when she found out I have celiac disease. She had every toiletry available for us that we could have needed. The unit was also clean, cute and everything functioned wonderfully. We will be back!!!
Had a great stay at Kickapoo haven! Teresa has everything you could need. The place is beautiful and very clean. Also loved the homemade muffins!
Wow! Beautiful setting, and this host has thought of everything, and then some! The blueberry muffins were outstanding, we’ve never stayed in a place so clean! The setting on the river is so peaceful, the landscaping is amazing, and we enjoyed sitting under the stars by the campfire. Nearby Wildcat Mountain State Park is a must for first time visitors to the area with crazy good views and awesome hiking trails. Our trip was only 1 night, we’d love to come back for a longer stay in the future!
My boyfriend and I stayed here for a couple nights as a short getaway weekend to be in nature and trout fish. We were absolutely blown away by how incredibly beautiful the property is!!! Located right on the Kickapoo River with gorgeous rock walls on their property and incredible landscaping in their yard. There's a gazebo, lots of patio furniture, a fire pit and grill, beautiful koi pond, wildflower gardens and many acres of nature! Teresa was an incredible host. In advance, she gave many recommendations regarding places to eat, canoe rentals and details about the Airbnb. She met us in person when we arrived, gave us a tour of the property, a tour of the airbnb and even made us the MOST delicious blueberry muffins I have ever had in my life! We had plenty of privacy during our stay but Teresa and her husband were very responsive if we needed anything. We plan on staying here a few times a year because it was such an amazing, peaceful experience! Thank you, Teresa!
