Staying in this beautifully restored barn was inspiring. The interior is comfy and spacious, and both rustic and contemporary. Art fills the walls and the bookshelves are overflowing. My husband and I sat back with coffee every morning and felt quite at home! The surrounding water and gardens are an earthly paradise. The gracious host took us for a boat ride to the Blue Hill harbor, and I kayaked in the salt pond one morning. Watching the sunrise from the dock in Conary Cove is a great way to start the day before hiking, exploring, or just sitting outside. I would love to return.
We had a wonderful stay in the barn - our hosts were lovely and the barn is amazing! The location in Blue Hill is fantastic and we loved that it was right on the water. We cooked breakfast every morning and cooked one dinner. But the best part was the decorating!
Seed Barn is like heaven on earth, the company, the feel of the surroundings, the local area. There’s no place that feels more magical. Thank you Lee, Sonja, Peter and Sumi.
The location and landscape are spectacular. The hospitality shown by Lee and her family were unparalleled including welcoming gift of wine, fresh eggs, juice. Everything you could need is there and we were offered the use of the kayaks and paddle boards. The charm and beauty of the place is just heavenly!
This historic nook is nothing short of fabulous. The hosts gave us a warm welcome, stocking the fridge which included some wine, along with an invitation to take fresh herbs and Romain from their garden. The scenery was beautiful—lots of pretty wild flowers and water views. Peter and Sonja also gave us kayaks and paddle boards to use so we could explore the cove and kayak out to Seal Rock (dock for that us across the road). My 11 and 13 year old had much to explore while we were there and we were never bored…The greater area has some fabulous hikes too which I highly recommend. Thanks for a lovely stay—we will definitely be back!

自我介绍
I'm an artist from Denver, CO and have traveled to over 45 countries. Most of my work is inspired by my time abroad. Currently I'm exploring the intersections between ecology, fine art and community acts of preservation & restoration. I'm also inspired by my son, with whom I'm excited to continue exploring the world. From the time he was born, I became very concerned with how we grow and consume food and maintain involvement with a Slow Food approach to celebratory activism around the shared table. In this context I look at plant mobilities and how to encourage the preservation of unique identities expressed through culinary traditions, while focusing on localization and farming practices that work in harmony with the environment. Establishing networks of living seed libraries and using technology to invite community members to creatively engage with the land are at the core of my creative practice. Ongoing projects are underway in Ireland, Colorado, New Mexico, Morocco, Maine and Haiti.
