I had no idea I would be greeted with such a staggering view. For three days, I sat on the deck despite chilliness and rain surrounded by my unopened books just staring down the barrel of the valley and out into infinity. The cabin transported me into daydreams of living like this year round and a delicious “ anything is possible” state of mind... it is truly a special place. Part of the cabin had a floor to ceiling window looking out over the valley, allowing us to watch the sunrise from bed. The water runs hot practically instantaneously and the toilet flushes... which are truly delicious luxuries for a place that feels so wonderfully remote and tucked away from the stresses of modern life. We visited just long enough to acquaint ourselves with the visiting deer, a squirrel, and the bluejays(?) living in the gorgeous black oaks (which are cozied up on all sides of the cabin). And a special thanks to Michelle for all her tips, communication, and helpfulness - even checking in to see if we had arrived safely. Otherwise, the cabin was remarkably clean, welcoming, and outfitted with some really nice cast iron pans and unusually fancy knives for an airb&b. Which reminds me, the kitchen, which is bright and cheerful by day, is lit by a tiny lamp at night, which casts a visual warmth that I can only compare to a child’s Christmas storybook + aforementioned staggering view. We can’t wait to return someday. Thank you Michelle and Huck for sharing such a beautiful place with us and others.

This space is amazing. On the hillside in the red wood valley is a space that I would definitely go back to. Secluded up in the valley, the cabin with the pond and surrounding trees create a beautiful space to enjoy time outdoors. The valley view is amazing in the mornings and the porch outside is great for reading, breakfast outside, and getting sunshine! I highly recommend this place if you’re looking to unplug from city life and spend some time outdoor.

Beautiful, well appointed cabin with a great kitchen and unbelievable situation. You can tell someone cherishes this place and it is a real treasure.
