Compass Barn is a charming one bedroom former Coach House. Recently refurbished, it's ideal for a couple or single person wishing to explore Suffolk's beautiful coastline and inland villages. Light and bright, with private entrance and dedicated off street parking it offers everything you need for a comfortable and restful stay. The village has two pubs close by and a village shop for daily essentials. Oil central heating with hot water on demand, you can explore the area safe in the knowledge that there is a good hot shower waiting for you on your return! There are miles of local walks to explore as well as trips out to the surrounding coast and countryside.

Compass Barn is a clean, warm, comfortable and well equipped place to stay. Large bathroom and great shower stood out. Comfortable bed. We didn’t cook much but you could as there was a good range of kitchen equipment, although the fridge is on the small side which was ok for us. Michael was a friendly host.

Wenhaston is a village located on elevated ground to the south side of the River Blyth valley approximately 5 miles inland from the North Sea at Southwold. The area to the east of Wenhaston is designated as an Area of Outstanding Natural Beauty rolling down towards the coastal estuary of the Blyth.
The village's greatest historical treasure is undoubtedly the Wenhaston Doom, a sixteenth-century (pre-Reformation) panel painting depicting the Last Judgement.

We are on a bus route! The 99A goes to Southwold and to Bungay via Halesworth. There is a station in Halesworth with links to Lowestoft and Ipswich.
