We stayed 1 week at Terry's homestay it was our first stop in the Yasawas islands and it was amazing !! We enjoyed everything, the food was very good and there was plenty. My husband went fishing a lot and Terry's chlidren used to go with him. All the family is very nice, there are amazing people. Best experience ever we've been all over the world (almost) and I can tell you there isn't lots of places wherr you can find this kindness. Thank you for everything Vinaka if we come back in Fiji we will come again to your beautiful place !!

Terry is very friendly and welcoming and the room looks like the photos - it's basically a one-room cabin. It's directly on the beach, it's not possible to get closer to the water :) and it's located on the village side of the island (as opposed to the resort side), so it's local-living! You can only charge your devices from 6-8pm so bring a portable power bank. A towel was provided but bring everything else you might need, including a light/ headlamp if you have it because there's no light in the room. There's also no fan although there's often a breeze. And of course, no wifi so you might want to get a local sim unless you have international roaming. It's about a 30 minute hike to the other side of the island, where blue lagoon is (definitely worth it, it's amazing). You can also just explore the beautiful island, plus Terry and her family offer paid activities, which is great.

I had a great stay and it felt like a true Fiji experience. Good option if you aren’t into resorts. Basic but adequate accommodation. Bring a case of water from the mainland if you don’t have a filter.
