This was a nice quiet getaway. Only 15 mins away from the town and by 20mins foot was a creek with waterfalls. Close to some activities such as the Mountain Equestrian Trails and the Butterfly Ranch (21 min drive). For farther trips like Xunantunich and the Belize Botanic Garden was about 40/30ish drive from the cabins, not a hard drive. There’s a car rental service, make sure to give your dates in advance or Rose helps with calling a cab! Rose was amazing! great cook, welcoming, and even taught us some mayan words. My sister and I loved sitting down at the kitchen just to speak with her. As two girls traveling we were worried but we felt safe; everyone was friendly, welcoming, and always eager to help. Also, make sure to visit Carm’s baking goods, her and her family were such great people and the food was delicious.
Pablo and his family were very sweet and acommoding. it was far enough from the town to stay private but close enough to call a taxi in town. I wish we stayed longer. it was beautiful and relaxing. I would revisit anyway.
Was a little hard to find but such a peaceful, beautiful place. Rose was an amazing cook; you must try her empanadas. Away from downtown Santa Elena but not a far drive. Comfortable bed and hammock. Shower was nice and clean. Had some issues with the water (scalding one minute and lukewarm/cold the next) but it wasn't unbearable. We're forever grateful to one of the staff for helping us with a tire problem on our rental car. Can't go wrong with this place!
Amazing stay at The Cabins! Rose met us at the front and showed us around, her food & hospitality are too notch, the cabins are comfy and the beds are perfect! Couldn’t of asked for a better experience in San Ignacio.
This was a quick stay for us to do a combo tour in the area. We felt very safe and if we stayed longer would have loved a tour of the property and to visit more local attractions. We loved the extra special touches and availability to have breakfast and dinner when we wanted! Rose was a sweetheart! We would recommend staying here if visiting the area! This is a very kind family owned and safe place.

We have three cabanas in our 10 Acres property and each one is beautifully decorated with local arts and decor to make you feel right at home with all the amenities you need, complimented with an outstanding hospitality .
