Perfect for our Easter weekend trip. The house itself was well equipped, clean and superbly located. Lots of wonderful little touches including an amazing welcome pack including beers, wine, Easter eggs, local teas, biscuits, etc. There was even fresh milk in the fridge! Just what we needed after a long journey. Cockermouth is a wonderful place too. We will definitely be back and we will definitely look to stay in the Ghillie Cottage again.
Ghillie Cottage is a lovely two bed cottage in a super location. It has everything you need for a relaxing holiday, and is super comfortable. We were lucky with the weather we had, but even without it there is lots to do in every direction. we'd certainly come again.
The cottage was better than expected. It was stylish and extremely well equipped and clean. The gifts left were a very nice touch and much appreciated. Very highly recommended.
This was a very well located lovely space to stay in! It was well equipped, with generous and useful welcome gifts (milk, tea, wine, beer!) and personalised welcome note. The best surprise was the fact that parking was included, which was a big bonus for us! People with mobility issues might find the spiral staircase a challenge, but we found it fine. The only minor issue was the lack of instructions about how to get in. On the day of check-in I received an (automated?) message from the company saying to "use previous messages sent via chat / email" to figure out key collection. I hadn't received any communications, and so messaged, and got a prompt-ish reply (3 hours) with all the details. It worked out fine, but I was concerned for a while about how to get in!
